Would I be able to 'require' a file written in a different language? Say I had a program written in C, could I do:
require 'test' or dofile 'test.c'
Is there any way for me to do this? |

PS, this isn't ROBLOX lua related. I AM NOT trying to run C code in ROBLOX. I'm just trying to make a very basic game in LOVE2d. |

You're better off posting in the LOVE forums or stackoverflow.
As it is, I don't think you can compile C code directly from a Lua file, but maybe directly integrate the C code into Lua somehow? Not sure how with LOVE. |

A) Roblox only supports LUA at the time of this writing B) Roblox is a Run-Time Environment, so there is no compiling at all C) If this isn't related to Lua, it doesn't belong in this forum, although there is another one for it |

Ah, didn't see the 2nd post.
In that case, ignore A and B, but read C. |

@fireheart. There are certain things I can do in Lua which I can't do in C, and certain things I can do in C that I can't do in Lua. Considering that 'dofile' and 'require' are both in the Lua library, and not the C one, this post is technically on-topic, so it belongs here. It may not be related to RBLX Lua, but it's still lua. |
