| I get Severe panic attacks and i get severe OCD when a have these panic attacks i had panic attacks about me having scizophrenia and thinking i was crazy i always have little panics here and there but this forum is mainly for people who have OCD like me and that i also used to worry that i would die at the certain age i thought i would die when i was 24 im 15 but i realize that what if i do die at 24? and im wasting it thinking about my death thats 9 years away i would be wasteing it in the fear of dieing and not living my life also what really stopped me was worrying about something else i worryed about the way i look i worryed about how a dress all of that and my hair i worryed about something else and i always have worrys of something but the main thing to treat my OCD was to worry about something else thats not to negetive my mom worryed that she would die at 32 and now shes 56 so that really calmed me down and now i realize that death can happen at any age Now anyone with OCD There are better things to worry about other then stupid things like this worry about your room being clean or worry about something like that that is what really helped me if you have OCD and took the time to read this Thanks :) |

Ignoring the GIANT sentence and getting right to the point, panic attacks are quite common, luckily I have only had one. What I suggest you do it first, breathe deeply. Breathe it to the count of 10, out to the count of 10. Do this 10 times, focusing on each breath and each movement you make. Next, you should try reading. Stay away from books you know deal with something that will trigger your attacks, maybe pick it out beforehand and keep it nearby, so it's easily accessible. Try to wrap yourself completely in the story, it will take your mind off it until the panic attack passes. |
