Overview: This takes place in a fictional look-alike era where the Steampunk era formed with the combination of the Victorian and Industrial Revolution. Clothing is generally sleek leather or a tight cloth. Classic goggles are usually worn as well.
The nations will be look-alike of a few nations of the time but with some changes to fit with the story. For the most part this will be a free-roam RP where you get in feuds with the government(s), battle other pirates, hang out in pubs, go on adventures, and other dandy things.

--

The giant airship raised, the name 'S.S Salutation' clearly visible. Her sails shift to match the wind. Unreal propellers spun on the left and right end of Salutation as well as smaller ones extending at the very top of the hull. The ship is a mixture of metal and wood, some scrap metal slopply put over holes from past battles. She has raised four stories (not counting the two story cabin on the top), cannons lined inside in most available spaces. Quarters were mainly located in the third deck with the messhall at the bottom where ammunution and surplused weaponry is stored. At the top of the previously mentioned cabin is the captain's wheel while below that, the second story, is the navigational and meeting room. Below that is captain's quarters.
At the very bottom of Salutation is a glass dome with a large gyroscopic rim (which is accessed by a staircase going into the dome which is sealed off when it is in use) which has a rather lavish quarters in there with many telescopes and a single opposable cannon which can be moved around on a metal circular grid. Grape shots and normal cannonballs are put ready, the other shot type (chains) not put there due to the fact that it would be rather difficult to fire at the sail from there. Though if some circumstance brought it to where they were needed then someone could transport them to there. In the center is two bolted chair with straps (so you can't fall out when your hanging upside down with the gyroscope rim) which can have easy access to both the cannon and the telescopes. The dome can be lifted from the bottom and stored below the floorboards of the fourth floor, all of this done so with a lever by the captain's wheel.
What stood out was the rippling sail on the mast, a rather large crow's nest also ontop of it. The image of a smiling brass goggled skull was stitched into it, the shiny rustic color goggles, snow white for the skull, and a teal blue for the lense.
This image represented the crew known as the Brusques, a team of lawless airship pirates. They are made up of humans and automatons alike.
The automatons, a humanoid robot, were a breakthrough invention by a lone engineer scientist from Wellen. They speak like humans and generally are just as reliable. The cogs run like magic within their bodies, though it's rather difficult and time-consuming to repair one if they were to get injured, due to the complex tints and shocks of electricity that began an artifical life. Designs and odd patterns are usually encrusted throughout their body, whether it be made to look like a human or something completely unique. The eyes of the automatons consist of a simple bright light of sapphire blue or a light yet forest green though Heterochormia iridum (term for somebody with two different colored eyes) will rarely happen with, yes, blue and green.

This crew as sadly been seeming to recently lose its touch. Careless mistakes get a few crewmen killed and damages to the ship are put forth even though they could've been avoided. Other bands of pirates and the various militaries of these steampunk nations have been underestimated by the Brusques which, obviously, resulted in a heavy toll. But now hope has begun to spread across the crew. The previous captain, a slacker and self absorbed man, was grabbed from his quarters and thrusted overboard. The mutiny didn't seem to upset that many people except the exclusive crewies who had close relations with the captain.
With a roll of the dice the Brusques hope their new captains can bring them into a golden age fueled with adventures, loot, and many victories.

---

Nations overview (some may be added later and others will be mentioned throughout the RP):

Venta (British Empire): A sprawling nation which has taken up the superpower status of the world. Their mainland is made up of three massive islands, two nearly identical smaller islands stacked nearly ontop of each other with a small sea inbetween. The other much larger island is below it which forms as a cressent shape that nearly touch both of the islands with a landbridge.

This nation has a massive land army but it's focus has been in the sea for just about as long as time could tell. But, after the invention and innovation of the airships, they found great interest in these unique vessels.
They invested into these ships, making sure both them and their crew are top of the notch. Not only do they use them for war but they also have many merchant ships that are, at times, easy pickings for pirates though one needs to be cautious of the possibility that a warship is guarding it.

The empire is extremely cultured and has many notable landmarks throughout their territory. Their populace are usually light hearted and enjoy a good conversation. They're usually dressed in the more sleek style clothing, many men there wearing assortments of coats. There's also this stange underground sub-culture involving many unique songs, literature, drinks, and furnishing style. There's many around Venta and people 'in the know' can direct you to one of the assortments of hidden entrances into this haven of the oddities. Inside are bars, stages with performers, socialization areas, dancefloors, and other 'necessities'. The society doesn't have a name.

-

Celtic (French Empire): In the main continent is a nation that takes up the entire north east coast, some mainland, and a bit stretched downward. This nation has rather bad terms with Venta and is just about always in some friviolous battle with them, rather it be actual warfare or a political dispute.
The geography is generally (or use to be) forested with some rather large mountains sprouted throughout the kingdom. The major cities are mainly ne.stled in the coast of the north eastern part of the nation, coincidentally facing (and still rather close) to Venta. What makes up these cities are rather sophisticated aristrocrats that live in large mansions. Celtic took a liking to Hellenistic achitecture style it is shown in nearly every single building in any major city. The houses are most of the time a white stone and the roads carefully crafted with marble. Sidewalks are finely constructed with specially selected stones that make brilliant patterns.
Smaller towns try to mimic these cities but usually come out looking like brick towns.

Now, you would need a well trained and large military to protect this magnificent cities, right? Well, in a way, they have exactly.. kind of.. that. There are various land forts put throughout the country side, having nearly mastered defensive combat but not so much with offensive. Their military uniforms are generally white cloth with bordered gold plume-Napoleonic styled hats.
Their navy is decent and their airships worthy. They have a slight zepplin styled design with a hot air sack sheeted with a light, resistant metal unlike the Venta's which rely on propellers. They generally believe in strength of numbers and make their ship and airships smaller so they can produce more and put them in large quantites to attack.

The population personality of Celtic is generally rather formal, hosting many ballroom dances for commons and royality alike. Their clothing still has the Steampunk feel to it but still a bit more sophisticated with light colors that compliment each other. Dru.nkards and those with the rowdy attitude are frowned upon in this society and they compare anyone that doesn't follow their lifestyle, especially pirates, as savages.

-

Wellen (Austro-Hungarian Empire): Wellen takes up the east rest of the continent and south-eastern area, bordering with Celtic to the west. It usually stays out of Celtic and Venta warfare and just about always back up those who support their best interests for the time.

The landscape is generally flat, mainly composed of grasslands and forests, both temperate deciduos and taiga. Their population is dispursed in moderation, production generally average in all areas. There's only a few major cities, counting the capitol, that actually stand out in development.

Wellen is famous for their innovation and invention, their engineers developing both the automatons and fully functional prostetic limbs. They are made with a wiry yet resilant metal rods that doesn't posess near as much strength as a normal limb but still could perform basic and combatant functions. You can see right through it since the rods are rather thin and angular.

Wellen's military is rather strong as they focus on ever improving their mechanics of their war machines as far as development for combat. Their airships are wonders, combining the Celtic and Venta design into an all-out war machine.
They also developed somewhat of a anti-aircraft weaponry system which consists of a large barrel with a steam engine compressing pressure which is then released with a gun powder shell in it, making it fire into the air. It is rather inaccurate since you have to adjust the cordinates by turning a ton of reels to adjust the movement of the barrel. The operators have to be skilled in statistics, graphing, and general intelligence to manage this prototype of an artillery.
Uniforms are usually buttoned wool trenchcoats with a grey base color and jet black border. Their pants are also grey with a belt wrapped around it with a holster for a cutlass sword.

-

Freder (Spanish Empire): Freder is the furthest south of the four nations, taking borders with southern Wellen and Celtic with Wellen to their north east and Celtic to the north west. It stretches in a oval shape, much more in longitude than latitude. It is still rather large in length though most nations take up their borders in opposite conditions.
The terrain is rather rocky and after discovering precious metals they put the steam engines to their tests and made mining equipment out of them. The population took a fancy to the idea of being more culture than military based.

The military is mainly ground biased, the soldiers trained to protect their borders as line infantrymen with muskets. The airship idea is still rather new to them and they mainly use it for shipping metals so it's rather lucrative for pirates to hijack them since usually no warships are occupanying them. Be warned for the merchant crew is usually heavily trained in hand-to-hand combat so bording should be the last option going through your mind.

Society is full of the well cultured and interesting figures. Their city walls are painted with breath taking murals and at time artwork can even be found on the very sidewalks. The Freder civilians take a liking to the Steampunk style clothing and the sleekest and most interesting looking is just about always from Freder.
The citizens usually always carry around a pocket pistol or dagger with them for self defense so mugging on the streets is only for the bravest bandits.
Saloons and bars are decorated heavily and the drinks are a favorite to the world.

Name: Dustie Four-Arms
Gender: Male? (Automaton)
Age: 24 years since manufacture.

Appearance: Dustie stands at 6'6, with a brass exterior and sapphire-blue eyes. His exterior has been shaped to appear as a male human. As his name suggests, he has four arms that move independently of each other. Each set of arms is set on a ring that sticks out from his body slightly. His torso has the ability to rotate either ring 360 degrees, allowing him to fire at targets in front and behind at the same time. Each arm appears to have a sentence written in a foreign language engraved on it. Due to the strange shape of his torso, he is unable to wear a shirt properly, and only wears tan cloth pants and some shoes. Several spots on his body are rusted, and even more have bullet holes.

Personality: Dustie is an obedient follower of the captain of the Salutation, and will follow nearly any order given to him. Due to his mechanical nature, he usually avoids pubs whenever possible, claiming that "There's no joy in drinking and not feeling." He has been designed to complete as many tasks as he can as quickly as possible, and his design has carried to his mentality.

Weapons/Misc. Items: Four flintlock pistols that he is capable of using all at the same time, as well as four holsters to carry them, and a pack filled with ammunition.

Biography: Dustie was designed and created in Freder, but joined the Salutation's crew almost instantly. He had been an agent and a bodyguard of the previous captain as long as he could remember, but felt nothing when the man was thrown overboard. Dustie currently stands ready to take orders from the new captain.

Name: Deimos Sanford

Gender: Male

Age: 31

Appearance (Includes ALL apperance whether it be automaton/human, clothed properly, etc.): Deimos is a firm man who typically wears a sleek black trenchcoat and boots, as is custom in his home nation. He has a stubble and the occasional scar on his face, brown eyes, and clean brown hair.

Personality: Deimos is a charismatic and affable man with a rebellious spirit. He often treats even total strangers as friends, which can often get him into trouble. He wastes money almost as soon as he gets it (though it isn't wasted if you ask him) and is disliked by most people of high class.

Weapons/Misc. Items: A revolver and a large knife.

Biography (Please include home country): Deimos was born in Venta to the third wife of a rich man who went through women like they were steaks and he was a starving animal. Not being the first child, Deimos was largely ignored by his parents and raised by maids. He spent most of his time hanging around people he shouldn't have been, which ultimately resulted in him gaining the skills and connections he needed to make a good living as a pirate. He now spends his free time in Freder's many saloons.

He also has a love of blackjack, for which he has pioneered all sorts of new and exciting ways to cheat at.

I don't know. I am not good at making Steampunk CSes, and barely understand Steampunk, really. People keep telling me, and made me read. But I still have yet to understand.

Name: Errol Patil

Gender: Male

Age: 36

Appearance (Includes ALL appearance whether it be automaton/human, clothed properly, etc.): Errol is 5"10 feet tall, whilst maintaining a healthy average weight. He is a stocky man, with his regular engineering duties keeping him (mostly) fit. Patil shaves his head, instead keeping a black, leather fedora atop of his baldness. He has brown hair for his eyebrows, and his face has one noticeable scar on his forehead. Not exactly caring what he wears, he just wears a standard sleek, leather tunic along with some boring black pants. Usually, he is black with grime and such from machines.

Personality: On the outside, Errol seems like a grim and serious man. However, that is really just a mask he puts on whenever he is doing pirate business, and once you get to know him, he drops it. Having a rather bad sense of humor (he chuckles at the most terrible of jokes) and being loyal to most allies/friends, Patil is a pretty nice guy while maintaining that serious shell to outsiders and people he dislikes. Meanwhile, he carries along an obsession with inventions and tinkering, which fuels his career as an engineer.

However, due to his loyalty, he can be manipulated in a few different interesting ways, including being lead to believe in a terrible captain in which he is still ashamed of at the present.

Weapons/Misc. Items: On-duty, Errol usually carries around a prototype engineering backpack, which has "arms" segmenting off of it carrying various engineering tools. However, due to the fact that it chews up fuel like nothing and it makes the lower levels of the ship smell like dirty oil and fuels, sometimes he decides just to bring a standard engineer set instead. Also, he carries around a standard flintlock pistol and has a sabre in his cabin, just in case.

He isn't actually really good at shooting or fighting with anything other than a cannon, the latter being only mediocre at best.

Biography (Please include home country): Like most engineers, he started off his life in a small town located in Wellen. Errol was raised in a rather poor family, and with an interest in machines and technology had to salvage everything he could get to quench his thirst. So, hatching up an idea, he became a pirate in order to afford some of his more crazy inventions by contacting the lower sorts.

A few years into his career, he thought he could trust the self-absorbed captain mentioned in the plot. Of course, this leads to the captain being thrown out of the ship, and Errol looking rather like an idiot.

(Standard engineer character here, hope it isn't too bland.)
