yes because you're putting the unioned thing into a model, not each individual part

Models are just like Folders in your computer.
If you make a text document and put it in a folder, the text document is STILL the text document. The folder just holds it in a neater place for easy transport and use.
If you union (make a text document) something and put it into a model (a folder) then the unioned part (text document) is just inside of the model (folder) so you can access it or move it around easier and group it with similar stuff.
