No, it's not. I've studied Ebola my whole life. It can only be transferred via bodily fluids. It cannot be contracted by someone breathing on you. The only way it can travel through air is if someone sneezes and the snot lands in your eye, mouth, nose, ears, etc. |

| If ebola was airborne there would be a lot more than 1000 cases in the current outbreak. |

If it was airborne, it would already be spreading in the United States. There is actually an airborne strain of Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever, but only gorillas and swine can contract it. |

| Actually e bola could kill lots of people if its not contained like now Nigeria has it but some people don't know the virus is adapted to Africa not other continets so it could not spread like a big dieses. And it would take it time to adapt anyway, Also the e bola virus is transmitted from body fluids like blood touching a person would not infect you and it becoming airborne is hard to belive do to the fact it needs to stay in the body for protection (As what I heard). It is transmitted first from fruit bats and monkeys then to humans the risk of a infected monkey or fruit bat going to other countries is very low also with humans that are infected due to many airlines taking precatuions and avoiding flights there. To sum it up Yes it could kill lots of people if not contained and it could mutate to be more resistant but what I say could be wrong.. |

Trust me, I've devoted my life to epidemiology. Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever isn't just adapted to Africa. It thrives in Asia as well. |

Yeah, my mother worked in the field of epidemiology professionally, and she passed her knowledge on to me. Ebola quickly became my favorite virus, so I studied it more than the others. When Ebola became the center of attention, I saw people spewing false information, and sometimes it really gets on my nerves when uneducated people put themselves in that position. |

| It's only in West Africa. There is no OUTBREAK in other countries, but there are infected in other countries, in quarantine. |

You studied ebola before everyone knew about it, Narwhals?
That's awesome! I wonder how it would feel to be in such a big coincidence. |

| Could ebola possibly be cured by giving the person a additional virus or bacteria that's weaker and could kill ebola then they could use antibiotics or other medicine to treat the virus or bacteria given? |

| That's what happens when you listen to the media. You end up with a whole lot of bs, and nobody to clean it up. |

I studied it extensively, yeah. I would get these huge books on epidemiology and read them. Ebola just hooked me for some reason, so I studied that one primarily. Recently, when Ebola HF became more present in North American media, people would talk about it constantly. I have to admit, it's kind of nice to know about a subject that has become so prominent. |

But it can get me somewhere in my life. My dream has always been to become an epidemiologist at CDC or WHO. With this knowledge, it could increase my chances of landing a job there. At least I don't spend my whole day foruming like some people do. I actually do something educational with my day. |
