PROLOGUE

"Succulent," stated Emperor Theodore Ulysses, ruler of the Bronze Empire, as he took a bite of his steak "I've always liked my meat rare." A drop of burgandy steak sauce dripped from his fork, and unto the royal purple tablecloth. The Emperor cared little about the expensive cloth, after all, why would he? He was the richest man in Blackhearth.

Angelo simply smiled, not sure if he should be impressed or disgusted by the Emperor's favor for blood.

"It takes ten men to move this wrought iron tower, and it will put nine of them out of a job." Angelo said, smiling and pointing to the sketches of his invention, "You'll be even richer. Just think: you won't have to pay as many people, because a single person will be able to do the job for you just as fast"

" We already have more than enough inventions that reduce the amount of money we have to pay for employees. You continue to boast of this great invention, but I've yet to see what it does - if anything." said the Emperor, finished with his meal. "It's also simply rude that you haven't even touched your meal yet."

Angelo looked down at his plate; it was true, he hadn't even lifted his fork, as he was too excited by the idea of untold riches. "I'm quite sorry, my Emperor." Angelo started to eat his meal "You really should come to my workshop some time, I've already prepared the working prototype for my invention and I'm sure you'd fancy a look at it."

THE NEXT DAY

The Emperor and his royal guard arrived in Angelo's workshop. A myriad of bizarre machinaries lined the shelves, some ticking away, and almost seeming alive. "Erm... quite the workplace, Angelo." said the Emperor.

Angelo motioned the Emperor to move to a back room. A small, brass cylinder, designed to be incorporated in a gauntlet or weapon, possibly even a spire, layed on the other side of the dusty, shabby workroom, and with a quick clap of Angelo's hands, it opened. A magical substance flew out and began to swirl around the room.

An awestruck Emperor almost touched the moving dust, but had his hand batted away by Angelo. "We don't know how well the artificial magic works yet, so don't touch it." Angelo exclaimed, and with another clap, the magic returned to its home.

"Very well." stated the Emperor "You'd do wise to bring it to the palace by the morrow for testing. I don't fancy being tricked, so be sure that it works for more than a silly light show."

"Y-yes, my Emperor." said Angelo, nervously.

As the Emperor left, Angelo began looking over his design plans to be sure that his invention will function. Meanwhile, a shadowy figure entered the room, beneath Angelo's notice - the shadowy figure took the brass cylinder, and left as quickly as he came.

Morgan White was spending another day working at the Wetworth docks, lifting crates on to boats, and checking cargo to make sure there was no contraband, when his friend Pat pointed at a banner being strewn across a nearby building "Morgan, you'd want to see that."

The aforementioned banner being set up had a picture of a round object among the clouds, beneath the image was the words "Angelo's Amazing ZEPPELIN!" it also claimed that "You'll never need to use BOATS again when you can FLY among the CLOUDS."

"Yet another crazy invention that renders us humans obsolete." sighed Morgan "Remember those fancy grain mills that could operate without people?"

"Yeah, but those was way before our times" exclaimed Pat. "Though'm sure that's what the millers said 'bout the those automaticifying corn plows."

"The point is, eventually we won't have any jobs. Manual labour is going to be replaced by machines, and we'll starve on the street." said Morgan, angrily. "Something needs to be done about this."

"Suchess?" Pat queried

"Something drastic." Morgan said, plotting...

THE NEXT DAY

Morgan was at the Wetworth docks again, but he wasn't working this time, he was planning. There were almost forty dockworkers surrounding him, including Pat. "Tonight, we gather all the poor and forgetten members of our society, the street cleaners, who will be replaced by infernal machines, the carriage drivers who are being replaced by the trains, the sailors who will soon be replaced by flying 'zeppelins', all the working class who have fallen prey to 'industry' and 'progress'. I call it 'genocide' and 'poverty'." Morgan spoke triumphantly "Tomorrow, we take our army, and march to the ruling body of Wetworth! We will take it over! The rich and pampered will fall to the poor and strong men."

By the end of the night, nearly all the fighting men and women of the slums of Wetworth had rallied under Morgan's cause - but he needed a symbol, a banner that they could unite under. Morgan saw some silver coins on the table next to wear he was drawing the banner, and he knew what to call his army, and what to make his banner: the man who discovered silver was considered revolutionary, and Morgan's army was a revolution; Morgan wanted fairness, and the scale was a symbol of that, thus the banner was formed: A blue flag with a silver scale.

Not more than a fortnight later, all of Wetworth had been taken by the Silver Revolutionaries, and thus, the Industrial War officially began.

FIVE YEARS LATER

Wetworth has become the capital of the Silver Revolutionaries, and, although their ideals are still attached to their name, Morgan and his army seldom follow them. Where ever there's a village that's been pilfered, you can bet that the Silver Revolutionaries have been a part of that village's demise. Although, Generel Patrick's army seems to avoid that most of the time... most of the time.

Worse yet, poverty in Wetworth is just as bad as it always was, the only difference now is that the ones who used to be nobles are trapped in poverty.

Meanwhile, Blackhearth is still the bloated mass that it always was - enough wealth to support everyone, yet only a selective few groups have it. The Emperor and his court have been continuing to enjoy their decadent lifestyle, all while men are dying on the battlefield in the fight against the Revolutionaries. Some of the noble houses have tried to provide aid to the war effort, and go on mercy missions to heal the wounded, but they are by no means the majority.

Although Blackhearth is in slightly better condition than Wetworth, it's simply appearance - there are still just as many starving families roaming the back alleys.

Curiously, an assassin's guild known as the Brass Claws have arisen across the kingdoms. These mysterious warriors are difficult to find, and even more difficult to kill. It's rumoured that they can get anything done, for a price...

FACTIONS:

Silver Revolutionaries: Lead by the notorious Morgan White, the Silver Revolutionaries are best compared to a band of idealistic bandits; although they fight for a cause of fairness, their methods typically involved self-justified pillage and murder, excused by the belief that "if they're not with us, they're against us." Although General Patrick's army reduces this a bit, the lack of organization in the Silver Revolutionaries makes it impossible to stop. Their capital is Wetworth, and their flag is a sky-blue flag with a silver scale on it.

Bronze Empire: Headed by Emperor Theodore Ulysses, the Bronze Empire is the jewel of civilization... or so they think. Although the Bronze Empire is highly advanced, it isn't immune to the plagues of famine and poverty, it just looks like it's immune, because the rulers enjoy decadent feasts, as the soldiers push the poverty stricken in the dark alleys where none will see them. The Bronze Empire is a sworn enemy of the Silver Revolutionaries, and is currently running a smear campaign against them. Their capital is Blackhearth, and their flag is burgandy with a vine of bronze grapes on it.

Brass Claws: A group of assassins who will do anything for the right price, but they don't tolerate betrayal. They're headed by Lucien Orville, the Brass Demon; his prosthetic brass claw bearing the iconic title from which the group comes from. (Non-playable. You must manually join them sometime in the RP.)

Beggar's Guild: A minor group, formed to pool handouts together in the hopes of leading all it's members to prosperity. Although an altruistic concept, it has thusfar been unsuccessful, and will remain so until an interested and economically well vested party invests in them.

MAGIC:
NOTE: In order to have magic, you must complete The Box Test. see below

Only those born into to magic are capable of using it naturally, and the secrets to manufacture it artificially are long, long lost. The major differences between artificial and natural magics, is that artificial magic can only be created by a long lost machine created by Angelo the Inventor, where as natural magic can be only created by biological creatures born into it. Additionally, natural magic changes form based on it's user's morality and personality(e.g. an assassin's magic would be dark enough to move through the dark, and accurate enough to kill someone, while a priest's magic is more likely to summon blinding lights to stun infidels.) A minor difference between natural and artificial magics is that natural magic tends to follow a more fluid pattern, while artificial magic tends to be more rigid.

Magic is controlled by it's user's mind, so the more creative the user, the more the magic can do, and, as it can fluctuate with the user's emotions, magic can also change in mid casting if the caster becomes distracted.

THE BOX TEST: You are in a box, describe it.

CITIES:

Blackhearth: Blackhearth is the metropolitan capital of the Bronze Empire; it takes pride in it's clean streets, lucrative industry, and wealthy residents; however, the "solution" to the pollution caused by industrial workings is to simply send it off to the sea, right near Wetworth. The poor in the city are segregated to slums, and not allowed to go to the wealthier districts, all in the name of "preventing pollution and overpopulation of the richer districts" all while the noble houses enjoy decadent feasts, enjoying their luxury, and laughing at the poor. The guards in the slums of Blackhearth tend to act more like common thugs than actual guards, and are more of an issue than the actual criminals. Blackhearth is also home to the Royal Palace, where the Emperor himself resides. Recently, the Emperor has ordered that a number of propaganda posters about the city, featuring images such as Morgan White preparing to dine on the flesh of a dead child; these images are obviously untrue, but the Emperor believes that his people are idiotic enough to believe his childish lies.

Wetworth: Wetworth is a large seaport community which used to be Blackhearth's favoured harbour, but over time, pollution had rendered commerce in the city all but gone; due to the thick smoke clouds, and the slushy, green, contaminated waters, very few boats could make it to Wetworth, and those that did suffered a lot of damage. With little options, the lower rungs of society would come here to find a job, usually carrying crates off the few boats that came to the ports, though, it was even more lucrative to smuggle goods into the port, because of the lack of lawmen in the poor district. Wetworth is now the capital of the Silver Revolutionaries, but it really hasn't changed much; the water is still polluted, the clouds are still full of smoke, and although there are soldiers about, to "protect" the city, they mostly just extort money off of incoming ships. Still, Morgan has promised an end to the pollution, but no one knows how he intends to accomplish it.

Bronze Harbour: A large port city near Blackhearth, Bronze Harbour is currently Blackhearth's only means of naval military and seabound imports, due to Wetworth falling to the Silver Revolutionaries. Foreigners coming into the harbour are often subject to extreme propaganda, and high taxes, under the pretenses that the taxes are required to "protect from the Silver Revolutionary radical bandit group, and help increase the quality of living for the poor in Blackhearth," although that is not truly what they use the money for.

Stableton: The de facto military capital of the Silver Revolutionaries, Stableton is a sleek, clean, beautiful city where the Silver Revolutionaries recruit new members, and keep their public image untainted. Stableton's shiny stones, healthy horses, and balanced economy is the ideal resolution to the Industrial Wars, although, one of the least likely. General Patrick and his army spend most of their time here, indulging in cheap ale, and attempting to supress the public image of the Revolutionaries being "common bandits."

Silvathel: A community of landowners in a rainforest that's technically part of the Bronze Empire, Silvathel is used as a remote place for a lot of high-society backroom deals due to its obscurity and security caused by the constant rain and dense forestation. The residents of Silvathel mostly keep to themselves unless they need protection, or need to get something done, and for the latter, they'll simply get some imprisoned labourers illegally imported from Bronze Harbour.

Cacklemere: A farming community closely guarded by the Silver Revolutionaries, as the lake in Cacklemere is the only source of clean water for the Silver Revolutionaries. Cacklemere is surrounded by warm, sunlight plains, and dotted by the occasional farm. Unfortunately for the farmers, the constant military presence results in annoying, rowdy soldiers, taking free food and drink, and trampling crops in drink induced rages.

Abadon: As an independent state, Abadon isn't much to look at; its economy is failing miserably, and its best industry comes from dangerous mines, however, Abadon's location makes in a very tactical military position. Abadon has a large army, members of which tend to have more food and money than anyone else, which just encourages more people to join the army. Recently, various factories have been erected, built into the mountain and in the mines, which makes some wonder if Abadon is planning war.

Bristol: Although it has led to prosperity for the rainy cityscape, Bristol's independence is not without its flaws. The city may be industrious, and own a good piece of the metalworking industry, but its lack of support from any external government has resulted in a very small army and police force, leading to criminal activities. Anyone who lives in Bristol needs to learn to fight, or they'll become prey to one of the many gangs that wander the street after the sun sets.

Among these cities are various nameless villages(Foreign and domestic alike), often raided or taken over by both sides due to their small size and neutral approach.

CHARACTERS OF INTEREST:
*NOTE* You cannot play as these characters unless an admin. These characters are purely for plot elements, not preset characters you can choose from.

Emperor Theodore Ulysses: Ruler of the Bronze Empire, aristocrat, and refined sampler of all things pleasurable, the Emperor had always lived a pampered life of ettiquette, although his parents were killed in a political assassination. No one knows why the Emperor wasn't killed alongside his parents, but since a young age, he's been used to the stresses of ruling, and the decadence of it, too.

Morgan Beomore White: The jaded commander-in-chief of the Silver Revolutionaries, Morgan had always had a difficult life of manual labour, which he was born into. Morgan's parents were loving to him, but they didn't survive very long past his adulthood, due to the pollution caused by Blackhearth's industry, and because of that, Morgan became a very bitter man, and eventually he was bent on revenge against the Emperor.

Angelo Martinez DeAbadon: A greedy inventor from Abadon, Angelo's love for money had always led him into trouble, but the last time sent him to the Imperial Dungeon, where he's going to reside for life, or at least until he's saved.

Jebediah Owen Morris: Prime Minister of Bristol.

Josehpus Levi Lafayette: Millitant, yet benevolent dictator, ruler of Abadon.

Lucien Orville: Leader of the Brass Claws. Lucien has a missing hand, which is replaced by a brass prostethic gauntlet, although it's unknown how he lost his hand. As a person, Lucien is mysterious as he is skilled; sweeping through daylit streets with ease, and not alerting a soul, and keeping everything about himself a secret, even to his closest disciples.

Patrick 'McBuford' Barrenton: Although born into riches, Patrick had never much cared for all the rules that came with money, and ran away at a young age, even changing his last name. Pat was raised on the streets, and learned most of his mannerisms from common thugs. When Morgan raised his banner, Patrick understood why; even though Patrick himself didn't care for the rules of wealth, he still enjoyed the luxuries it provided.

RULES:

1. If I or another admin says that something isn't okay, it's not okay, whether or not it's in this list. This applies for everything, and is the most important rule.
2. R.om.ance at your own risk. Doing anything on this thread that's against the ROBLOX community guidelines or the TOS is not my responsibility.
3. No godmodding. This means performing actions that are ridiculously unreal, such as single-handedly defeating an entire army, or covering the distance of a mile with a single leap.
4. Avoid creating mary-sue styled characters. This means any character who has an excessive amount of special traits and/or an excessively dark past.
5. Cities can be taken. Keep this in mind when RPers choose to organize an assault your faction's capital. If a city falls, YOUR FACTION LOSES THE CITY. In other words, don't lounge around while a city is under siege.
6. Please use storymode roleplaying. This means you should not say "*uses magic*" but instead "I feel magic flow through my veins. I instantly freeze some of the nearby lakewater, resulting in a deadly ice spike."
7. If you read all of this, including the plot and such, put "Steampunk" in Other.

MY CHARACTER SHEET:
Na.m.e: Lucien Orville

Physical Appearance: Though his face is rarely seen, usually concealed with a brass demon mask, Lucien does, indeed, have a face. His facial features are bold and handsome, giving an intimidating and shivering feeling to any bystanders. His green eyes seem to glint into ocean blue eyes at time, due to a combination of tricks of the light and his intimidating aura.

Lucien's well-groomed face is a sign of nobility. Few could afford such a shaver to leave no residue, something must have been purchased from an inventor to do this purpose. While normally his light-brown partial mullet has it's bangs brushed back and combed down on the sides, after continual physical activity his grooming is worn down and left a frazzled bed-head of a hairstyle.

Lucien stands at a tall 6'2, something not uncommon for 'nobility'. His body is the archetype of victorian-era perfection; his legs are slender and tall, while his upper body begins to grow in size starting from the waste. This slender build is often seen in fencers or swordfighters, giving a good estimate of what exactly Lucien does in his off-time.

Lucien's clothing involves no over-coat, but rather a plain velvet vest over a white noble 'puffy shirt'. His pants are sleek and tailored down to only an inch of space away from his skin, further sleeking down his appearance.

The Brass Demon's attire, however, is different. Although Lucien will simply put on the mask if needed, usually he dresses in the entire outfit of the Brass Demon. He wears a brown vest with ornate metalic bronze gears and swirls tailored into it, and he wears this vest over a simple beige commoner's garb. The Brass Demon's name comes from it's mask; a simple bronze demon mask resembling an Oni.

Among this, a thick brown trench-coat with no less noticeable ornate metal symbols is worn over the outfit, the hood often thrown over the top of the mask to avoid people from seeing Lucien's hair. This trench-coat also has many pockets, where Lucien stores most of his gear and loot.

Oh yeah, and he has a belt. A metal, bronze belt.

G.end.er: Male

A.ge: 28

Faction: Brass Claws

Starting Location: Blackhearth

Skills: Lockpicking, stealth, assassination, magic, swordfighting.

Do you want magic?: Yes, and I already have it, due to being thread creator.

Notable Items: Lucien has a mechanical brass prosthetic claw, capable of using magic. No one knows where Lucien acquired this claw, nor how he can use magic with it without being born into it. Lucien's claw also functions like a normal hand, minus the nerves, and can be moved like one as if it was his normal hand. The level of prosthetic seems to go down two inches beyond his wrist.

Lucien also has a cutlass, it's blade able to fold into itself, engraved with an ancient language which reads "The Brass Demon lives". It can also be used as a cane with a unique cane-sheath Lucien sometimes uses.

Properties: All Brass Claw bases, 'the Orville Estate' within Blackhearth.

Biography: With his past all but shrouded in mystery, both the Brass Demon and Lucien Orville are equally as mysterious. Despite his mysterious past, is it known he was not born into nobility, and often times he nearly chokes into tears and must be left alone. The reasons behind this are unknown.

The Box Text: Not needed, due to being the thread creator.

Wanted?: Yes. (But only the Brass Demon identity is wanted, while Lucien can walk around with no worries.)

If wanted, which towns?: Blackhearth, Stableton, and Bristol.

Other: Steampunk

Timpookie's CS

Na.m.e: Timothy Bauer

Appearance:

Timothy is slightly shorter than average, standing at only 5 foot seven inches tall. He carries around the appearance of someone who is quite poor and thin, as is the case when you actually are poor and underfed. He has dark brown eyes, always appearing to be heavy and tired. His lips are rather thin, and he has a small scar around the edges of his nose from once when he was attacked by a stray dog. His hair is long, blonde, filthy and uncombed, as happens when you are the centre of poverty.

The clothes that he wears appear to be once fine clothes that have become rags. He has only one set of clothing, which he tends to always wear, that he stole from the house of an upper-class citizen and has long since worn out. He has no shoes, and as a result, his toenails are frequently broken.

G.en.der: Male

A.ge: Twenty three

Faction: Bronze Empire, although he's one of the poorer citizens that were pushed out onto the streets, not the upper-class citizens.

Starting Location: The slums of Blackhearth

Skills: Timothy Bauer is a thief by profession, and so it's pretty clear that he'd be a good thief and at least so-so at escaping the city guards. However, as he is of the poorer lower class, he's also used to going hungry and thirsty, and can go long amounts of time without eating food or drinking water.

Do you want magic?: I liek wafflez

Notable Items: He has a small, blunt knife stolen from someone's house that he uses as a last means of self defense, in the event that magic fails him, a small purse about a quarter filled with small coins worth roughly a few night's worth of food, and a few breadrolls that he has for just in case.

Properties: Nothing much, although he has managed to get a carriage driver to let him sleep on some old pieces of paper in the back of the carriage at nighttime for a small percentage of what he manages to steal during the day.

Biography:

Born in the slums of Blackhearth without parents, as his father was killed by some cutthroats and his mother died of childbirth. He was found, adopted and raised by the Bauer gang of thieves, a gang that, unlike most people in the city, actually had a heart, from whom he learned just about everything.

At the young age of six, however, the leader of the thieves was betrayed by his second-in-command and given over to the city guards for a little bit of coin. The new leader exploited Timothy's youth and naivatee and forced him to become a beggar and a thief at an extremely young age, beating him if he didn't return with at least a certain amount of food and coin and giving Timothy barely enough scraps to survive.

For four years this time of hardship continued, and several times Timothy barely avoided being caught by the guards. However, during this period of time, Timothy realized that he had a small amount of natural magic, and so decided to keep it a secret so that the new leader of the thieves didn't exploit it as well.

When Timothy was ten, though, he decided to run away from the gang, as they were quite abusive. For the ten years that followed, he managed to survive by petty theft alone, while managing to avoid the guards and the Bauer gang.

At the age of twenty, Timothy broke into a carriage to loot it of it's contents, but found it more or less empty. However, the driver was around the area right then, and a small fight broke out. After a short while, Timothy managed to convince the driver to stop attacking and instead for them to use words, and he agreed. Timothy managed to negotiate a fifth of each day's stealings in exchange for being able to sleep inside of the coach instead of on the streets.

And, for the past three years, the pattern continued - Petty theft during the day, pay a fifth of his earnings to the carriage driver, and sleep in the carriage during the night.

The Box Test:

The box is quite small, barely able to fit a person such as myself inside of it. My arms are forced to remain by my sides due to how narrow it is. The floor of the box feels like wet cardboard, and I feel raindrops falling on my head from above me. Around my wrists are rope, keeping me from being able to force my way free.

Looking around, I see that the box itself is made out of cardboard, with a few loose patches here and there, and a few crinkles around the corners. There appears to have been a tear that was patched up with tape, along with tape keeping me trapped within the box. If I look up, I see three small airholes that let the moonlight and starlight in, along with the rain.

I can hear the sounds of footsteps on metal, although why that is I do not know. I can hear the sound of laughter and conversation as well, and occasionally the sound of gulping down a drink, or the clink of one glass to another while making a toast. I can also hear the sound of water, both in the rain coming down from above and in the sound of waves crashing against something. Every so often I hear a clap of thunder as well, but the laughter and drinking isn't quelled by it.

If I open my mouth and bring out my tongue, I can taste the raindrops that I hear, feel and see. Very few raindrops land on my tongue when I do this, though, and so I can not definitively say what the raindrops taste like, other than that they taste more or less like water.

I can smell the strong scent of al.co.hol, likely what the people are drinking. To add to it, I can smell fragrances, possibly rare spices, in the air in small amounts.

Suddenly, I hear an unusually loud clap of thunder, and the laughter and drinking turns to panicking and scurrying around. I feel the box tilt over on it's side, and when the box stops tilting, I knock my skull on a hard surface, and I feel the box sliding down a slope. Then, there's a drop, and I hear a loud splash, and see water pour in through the airholes. I can taste the saltwater as I begin struggling for freedom, as the water level in my box is rising... Suddenly, everything goes black, as I lose consciousness, and drown.

Wanted?: Yes, although in the slums of Blackhearth, doesn't everyone succumb to petty theft?

If wanted, which towns?: Blackhearth

By the way, expect Soardlo to come along and claim I gave him this RP or whatever or claim I copied him. I already have the proof to beat him down if he tries to do that.

So uh, yeah, just expect Soard to complain.

"You are in a box. Describe it."

Is that so hard?

. . .

Y'know, the least you could do is cut Tim some slack. The difference between him and RP is that he admits he's a hypocritical egotist, while the rest of us lie and deny it.

Whatever, doesn't matter. What matters is that this is another one of my rare genius ideas like Chaotic Disturbance.

Yeah, right here

And I find it funny that you're telling ninja to cut tim some slack while in fact he is the one on the offense.

i don't get it.

It's the first page, and it just has Tim refusing to join because Soardlo is in the admins.

Besides, even if Tim DID go on the offense, did you forget how I've done way, way worse? Has EVERYONE forgotten that stuff? I was so hated that I got sent DEATH THREATS by the less intelligent of ROBLOX who I had criticized, and then blablabla dex10awesome blablabla i quit RP for almost two years.

you guys should know the story/
