Bastion After Dawn
Collaboration by Hwen and HygenistHygenist3

--Opening--
On the fringe of a dying civilization, survivors of a mountain-side mining facility still cling tenaciously to the hopes of surviving, pushing back the ever growing numbers of Unholy beast, and returning the civilization that once was.

--Concept--
You play the survivors of a pleague suffering the Dwarven civilization. In its aftermath, the dead walk with vampires and liches serving as their unholy masters. As you survive their on-slaught through the nights, you mine into the mountain that surronds your Bastion, upgrading your equipment/base to combat and defend against the nightly assualts.

--Undead-Folk-- (Divided into classes)
Zombies: Mindless dwarves affected by the plague, Zombies are the minion race of the unholy. Bent on the devouring of flesh and blood; they ignore everything until their bodies are destroyed, thus ending their existence.

Betrayers (Or something): Marked by the insignia of betrayal that corrupts them; Betrayers of dwarves who joined the unholy to bring about a new era of darkness. As a result of their joining, the insignia upon their head slowly withers away their mind, while increasing their strength at the same time.

Vampires: The under-race of the Abyss, Vampires are powerful beings who take their place in the world as commaders of lower beings of the unholy. They rarely enter battle, but when they do, they come force, making them deadly opponents.

Lich: A mysterious race of the ruling hierarchy of the Abyss, the Lich are the creators of the undead plague and seek to rule the upper world.

--Races--
Dwarves: The Dwarves are a divided race, once divided into one nation. Their caste determined their ranking in civilization. (Exception: The Holy Caste.)

--Castes--

Holy Caste: The Holy caste is unique, as dwarves are not born into it; rather they enter into it through a pact of alligance to the gods and to the state. Like the Norsemen of our world, Dwarves reveled in combat. From an early age, those in this caste are taught to fufill a variety of functions. They are the chiefs of ceremony, the high priests, paladins by the grace of the gods. Perhaps this fascination with combat has to do with their religion: The world was created through conflict, it will end with it. And only the the strong and noblest warriors break the cycle of life and ascend to the Last Sacrament, where they defend this world against the ever growing darkness.

Noble Caste: Well bred Dwarves of the hierarchy, Noble's are taught to virtues of Dwarven-kind, the basics of their religion (To serve as priest in emergencies), and higher education. As a result of their high breeding, the Nobles excelled in leadership and negotiation, are are handy in a fight.

Soldier Caste: Born to do the bidding of wars and conflict, the Soldier Caste revered in combat, and united the Dwarves together as a single, unified race. Even after the fall of civilzation, they come in handy defending the remaining bastions that hold in this dying world.

Miner Caste: Born in the harsh mountains of the Dwarven civilzation, the Miner Caste ranges their skills from mining to smithing, to even lumbering away the great forest. "Mining" is just a name given to them. In all reality, the Miner caste can be compared to the working class of our world. They are skilled craftsmen, however, they can only build and create, rather then destroy and decimate.

No-Castes: Born without a caste to speak of, they are said to be the cursed who rebelled against the divinity in the beginning. They are seen without morals, taken as theives and beggers, and shamed away from normal civilization. This has led many of them to take up crime as an occupation, giving them traits of stealth and precision rather then the Dwarven ways of up-front conflict.

Also known as "Hwen's Grammar sucks."
Jeez, reason you don't post when playing Legends on your SNES.
