On the Stewart-Ward incident:
MS: What was your reaction when you saw the wreck involving Tony Stewart and Kevin Ward, Jr?
"My reaction to that wreck was I was sick to my stomach. To hear what was going on, and not knowing exactly what happened, that's the hardest part, to not understand the situation and not really know. I'm thinking about the Ward family and friends, and Stewart's family and friends. This isn't easy on anybody."
MS: What's your reaction to Stewart sitting out?
KAHNE: "I think that's the right decision. With it happening just last night, I think it's the right decision and the only decision."
MS: As a sprint car owner, what does this mean for that brand of motorsports?
KAHNE: "The part I want to get out there is, I'm an owner, and I've raced these cars. And I've raced stock cars. By watching that video, I truly don't understand how (the wreck) happened, and what exactly went on there. There are only a few people who would. There's no media person that knows and no fans that know. There's too much you can't see. For one, Tony has no clue that (Ward) wrecks. Tony didnt wreck him. It's only a caution, not a read flag. So you come back around and see what happened. I've raced these cars, Marty, and none of it makes any sense to me. I think Tony, and a couple of drivers around him are the only ones that could tell you exactly what happened." |

| I don't know if you're trying to be funny or not, but I did blame Stewart if you cared to read my last post on one of the other threads. |

| yeah but you have way more reasons as to why it's everyone else's fault first. you didn't provide a reason as to why stewert is not "exactly innocent". you pretty much just covered the bases in order to not be a totally reprehensible person |

Fine, if you honestly want me to put blame to where I think blame should go? Alright.
1. Blame on Ward: Was not exactly the best idea to get out of his car and go into the racing line. 2. Blame on Stewart: Should have seen Ward standing there and could have tried to avoid him had he had more time. 3. Blame on the car: Stepped out at the wrong time. |

"Should have seen Ward standing there"
i thought he did see ward. that's what everyone is saying. he tried to avoid him but then his car messed up or something
"and could have tried to avoid him had he had more time."
and now you're blaming the time. it's not really stewart's fault, he didn't have the time
i was told to always look five seconds ahead when i'm driving. why is it different for nascar drivers |

"i thought he did see ward. that's what everyone is saying. he tried to avoid him but then his car messed up or something"
if he did it was at the very last second. it's pretty hard from what i'd assume to avoid somebody in a sprint car on dirt.. it's not like he was on asphalt in a Formula 1 car.

Uh no? Stewart most likely saw him at the last second. Take this from a person who is experienced with sprint cars: https://twitter.com/DirtTrackTweets/status/498570864997064706 |

The man worked with the 45 team who was right in front of Stewart and has driven sprint cars before. He'd know more than I do about the incident. The least you could do is respect my side of what I'm saying instead of constantly crucifying me just because you don't agree with my opinion. |

| The least you can do is respect the evidence for what I'm saying and not say I'm 100% incorrect all the time. It's really getting old. |

So you don't trust someone who works with the 45 team. Who was there that night at the incident. Who has driven sprint cars before. Who knows how they drive and knows the surroundings inside of one.
Alright. Thanks for respecting my opinion. You're an amazing person.
I went to his Facebook page. It says the exact same thing as the screenshot. |

Yes, because he totally didn't post this:
"off to Spencer tonight with HJ Motorsports and double duty tomorrow at Canandaigua Motorsports Park with the Cobra Core !!!"
He totally wasn't at the race track last night. |

So what you're saying as well is that I can't trust anything the reporters who were at the press conference with the sheriff say?
I can't trust eyewitness reports that people take and put on social media?
I can't trust anything I hear ever because it's just all one big lie? |

Even though he works with the team and was there that night?
So I can't trust someone who was at the track and witnessed it? |

It's pretty clear what you're getting at, and I'm trying to say I wish you would respect the evidence I'm putting forward, which is pretty reliable.
Plus, someone who's on this forum said for a fact that you have to steer to turn and he's actually been to countless dirt races. As have I when I went to the Port-O-Cool races at the Texas Motor Speedway. Those things are hard to control and you can't see an extremely large area outside the car.. |
