The wiki is for people who learn by reading, and it is how I learnt.
I also learnt by viewing and editing other scripts; but to quote my music teacher "You don't become a musician by reading music".
Otherwise, videos can be very helpful, but I didn't ever use videos, except once. That one time, I didn't see it written anywhere that I must cut and paste a script to execute it. (Since I was using Solo mode to interact)
I recommend a combination of at least two of these, but my suggestion is this. Use videos to start learning, and when you have the basics down, use these pages to learn how to interact with instances and Lua. http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=Class_reference http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=Function_dump Throughout the whole thing, view and edit scripts frequently to further learn what you can about Methods, Functions, Callbacks, and Events. Use the forums if you get stuck, or PM me directly, I am more than happy to help. |

Also experimentation. Use the print() function often to see exactly what's happening. Also rember your algebra. I learned by reading the wiki and looking at other scripts without pre-algebra so it's not that hard. |
