7/11 is where it's at.

@Rich When America nuked Japan they were basicly already defeated, America was just testing it out. Not even lies, The Japanese war-machine was already completly destroyed, in Chinese mainland. By British-Indians in Burma. The Australians replled them. And America had already bombed every facility in Japan.

| If Japan didn't get nuked thousands more would have died because the fighting wouldn't have stopped until Japan was completely obliterated. |

@Fran Doesnt change the fact that they DID lose. The Japanese emperor wasn't stupid. They were ready to surrender at any time.

| @aaav The Japanese people didn't care about the facts. If the united states wanted to peacefully annex them they had to nuke japan. And considering how Japan has turned out today (being an large industrial and scientific power) I would say their peaceful annexation by the USA was a good thing. |

Yeah.
Before the nuke was dropped, Japan were already requesting for a surrender. I bet they don't tell you that, do they? |

@Sas America was just hungry to try it out before the war ended.

War & terrorism are different. Terrorism in unexpected. In war, you want to kill the others. |
