| It spreads through bodily contact + bodily fluids. So coughing, sweating, or doing anything that exhales any type of liquid will emit a (possibly faint) type of gas, which is infected. |

Not by breathing, it would have to be coughing or sneezing

| And you should realize they made a experimental vaccine to stop the virus. |

Not to fearmonger, but look it up, it's airborne this time. Enjoy. At least the UK isn't gonna be AS bad since it's an isolated island, but it's still gonna get a bit of it. Oh well, the North of Scotland is secluded enough for me xD |

| The vaccine they made needs rare stuff, meaning it's not going to be a lot of it and not everyone will get it |

the vaccine requires anti-bodies
which can be made from surviving animals of ebola

There's been no outbreaks in America, it's only a few cases of people coming back from West Africa that got infected when they were there.

| The vaccine is in the animals we got it from. All they need to do is look at their structures and copy it in a form of a pill, gas, injection or something else. |

Besides, who would go to the coldest continent in the world? |

three is right, it's currently America and Western Africa, but it's not actually breaking out in America, the only cases of it in America are two patients who were transported over from Africa and are currently in quarantine. It won't spread unless these patients either escape (which would be stupid of them) or if they are let go. There's always the possibly immigrants will get out of Africa and carry it over though. |

"the vaccine requires anti-bodies

pretty sure vaccines dont work on the infected?
also, since anti-bodies don't duplicate, vaccines are just a genetically weaker version of the virus that can't do any harm (unless you have an immune defiency), that way your body creates its own anti-bodies, and viruses are easy to duplicate

Well any amount of anti-bodies would help.. Considering Ebola basically blocks them

@eprent Exactly, that patient is quarantined in Atlanta and is being given experimental drugs. Unless s/he spat or sneezed on someone on the plane from West Africa to the USA, there's nothing to worry about. |

| I read up on the patients, they both consented to isolated transportation, the only company they were in was eachothers, so it's been really secure so far. |

I love how everyone is worried about ebola where there has been 4 cases of bubonic plague virus in southern america in one month. I mean yeah, bubonic still occurs every now and then but what's scary is that there's never been more than 6 reported cases in one year, let alone 4 in one month. Apart from that, there's been one case of pneumonic plague virus in China. |
