" OMG LOK PPLZ NEW LIMITD! "
- Only 100 made
" I better sell dis for less the the guy in front so i mak moniz "
Original price: 90,000
New sale price: 10,000
One week goes by, items now worth 1 Robux.
This is literally how the limiteds work in Roblox. We seriously need a point where a hat cannot be sold for less then the original price.

| Just like typical men, the average LMaDer cares about profit, when he should realize that it's pixelated numbers! |

You just described a sort of price for for limiteds? Come on, you would be complaining if it actually happened.

I don't " LMaD " I don't even know what it is honestly, but seriously tho!
- New hat comes out, really cool and rare. - Sold for very high price. - ONE week goes by and people sell it for 1 - 1000 Robux.
If I want a limited that comes out, all I really have to do is wait a week.

If you say that because of my hat... Then you are mistaken.
I only wear the hood because it looks really cool and I got it when some one quit. They gave me it for all my eggs xD

New limiteds fail because no one likes profit.

LMaDers worry about profit, dominuses, etc.
You're worrying about PROFIT. |

accurate
It's at the point where I don't even know why I play this game anymore, nor why I haven't quit. |

This is why you consider and predict if a limited will "fail" or "win" before you buy an original copy of it. If you don't know when to invest in a limited, it's probably your fault when you don't profit. Things to consider:
Amount of original copies: You'll want to buy anything with about 300 or less original copies originally because it will almost always raise in price unless the other things are all negative or something like that.
How much it originally sells for: Consider how much you are investing into something that could potentially fail and how much money you could potentially lose. This is where you mainly take the other things into account.
The item itself: If the item looks like a piece of garbage, you probably shouldn't buy it. Nobody but a handful of investors will be interested in it at all. Take into account the things it could be used for, if you have knowledge of such things. For example, can it be used in a lot of different costumes, such as different ninja costumes as one example?
How fast it's selling out: This is a good way to determine the original demand of the item, although it's mainly a way to how many other investors are investing in it. If it's selling out very slowly, it either costs too much for most people or it has very low demand, or both.
If it is a retexture or not: If it's a retexture there will be less direct demand for it because there will be another item just like it (Unless it's something idolized like a dominus or STF) Why would you buy Captain Doge when you can buy Uncle Doge instead?
What sort of item it is: Faces and hats tend to get more attention than gears for whatever reason, perhaps because investors rarely have a use for gears. This is a minor aspect, however, and it mainly applies to faces (except ones with high item count and low price such as starfaces)
If LMaD likes it: If you have time, check on if LMaD is supportive of the new item and is investing in it. They'll usually have judged it based on the other things I've said here and more. If you see most LMaDers supporting it, look it over and you should probably buy it. If most claim it'll fail, it probably will. If it's unclear, come to your own conclusions as you may have otherwise. This is not to say you should trust LMaD 100% but they are a very good resource for investing. However, anything you read there should be taken with a grain of salt as they are a sneaky bunch as I view it. |
