I wanted to make a horror game but the problem is that they can get deleted if they are too scary. I was speaking to my mate and he said that if there was a GUI pop up when they join something along the lines of 'Are you over (Age)' or just a warning saying it is a scary game and they will click yes or no, therefore if a person get's scared and reports it, it will be their fault. This would allow the more mature people to play games like that.

So your suggesting roblox to add a Gui that ask you are you old enough to play? This is scriptable. And why not add warning in the description that there are pop ups and flashy images so people would know shall they play it, it's easier and won't waste your time with scripting the Gui.

So if I were to add a warning at the start but someone still plays and gets scared, then goes to report it. It wouldn't get banned? I was under the impression of what I have read/heard that it would still get deleted.

I think ROBLOX should add the GUI, not the horror game owner. Mostly because this would allow ROBLOX to keep track of those that report it or not to see if the game should/shouldn't be deleted. I say this because i think ROBLOX usually get's rid of a game based on reports, not by actually playing it.

Guys, horror games are created to SCARE people. If you think that kids can't handle some scary scenes add a warning in description. You won't get banned for adding scary decals or scary models, if they were too scary they would get content deleted.
And if you add a warning in description even though there isn't a Gui in the game the admins will know you have warned them. |

I don't think admin's usually read that though, they get a report saying about the scary game and then they remove it. That is why I think that Roblox should add it themselves.

Reports don't do anything anyway m8.
Unless it's a mass report. |

I think it will help with lots of people making a horror game though because if it does get popular their time and effort gets deleted because of reports of it being too scary.

Horror games are fine as long as they are suitable for the younger age. No support.

@Ulrond, everyone has a different scare meter, so whats scary to some people, might not be scary to others, for example, some people get scared at pop ups, others at creepy little girls/dolls (creepier than it sounds), it would be hard to make an age appropriate scary game without adding all elements, but it would be redundant and people would still report it, so its either you have a scary game that barely anyone finds scary, or a scary game where people find it to scary and report it, either way, you lose, this idea is good, but the warning should appear when you click the play button, it would say "warning, this game may be scary for some younger people, it contains *list of scary things* you've been warned and all reports for scariness will likely be disregarded"

Yes, for example the game Paranormal Activity(I believe it is called) recently got visits however the short time I played it most people were complaining because it was not scary, that is as scary as you can get at the moment. So if they add in the warning then it would allow a scarier game to be made.

This would then make people who want to play a scary game satisfied

Bump, So what do you guys think overall? I deffinatly think it would be very beneficial, I am currently working on a horror game while posting this, I have a Gui at the start and a warning in the description but if people report it and admins delete it I would be very annoyed and felt like I wasted my time(Even though I had fun making it).
