Machine guns in the US can be purchased with a background check and a hefty fee.
However they are not allowed to be used for hunting. And never were in the past. |

| Well they probably can be used for hunting in some states. Machine guns are banned to people who aren't LEO or have a SOT. The Hughes Amendment banned adding new machine guns to the registry so if one wishes to acquire on today they have to live in a state where they're legal and have a NFA trust or a signature of a CLEO and submit finger prints and get a transfer form from the ATF and get a tax stamp for it. This is to the best of my knowledge so it may be wrong but you can't just go buy a machine gun if you pass a background check. |

| That doesn't express a desire to hunt with a machine gun. |

Fair enough. But I know a lot surrounding the hunting community and it very
unlikely that anyplace allows it. Other than Texas for pest control idk. |

Texas' pest control uses machine guns to take care of pests? What the hell? |

I don't know for a fact, but oftentimes they have populations of feral farm
animals on vacant farmland that attack people who try to use said land later on.
Considering its Texas anything goes. |
