Feel free to add your own tips for CSG here.
I'll just add one to start.
1) No more need for minimap scripts/plugins! When a part is a "Union Part", resizing it with the Studio Resize tool will force the part to keep its same dimensions, so you can now "minimap" your guns (or any Unioned build) without repeatedly experimenting with the increments. Try it! |

Maximum of 2500 triangles, which depends on the shape, or amount of bricks trying to be shaped into 1 (CSG)

| The thing that you are trying to Union cannot be in a group to start out with. |

Merging a negate brick with another brick, then making them both union.
The negate brick remove whatever its inside of, or near by of. You can make drawers with this, and other things.

you can't walk inside of parts that have been edited with the CSG editor.
For example, if you take a cylinder mesh and cut out a circle in a brick, it still acts like a normal brick. Your minimap tip won't work. |

@Faux; The minimap thing does work...
How would it not? Guns don't need to have walkthrough areas. |

@faux
i suppose a workaround would be to use a circle script, then union the bricks in the circle |

@Faux; Oh. Well it would still work with any Unioned build.
Why would you make a circular cut out (or any cut out), expect it to be walkthrough, and then minimize it? I don't know anyone that would build a gigantic fort (like 10x the normal size) then minimap it. |

@Unto; That won't work :\
When you union a group of bricks, it combines them into 1 giant part, filling up the empty space with a "transparent" brick. |

| CSG still needs a lot of polishing, can't build my planes properly. |

| CSG physics for things like that are on gametest4, and will be released in the future. |

wtf then there's no point in unioning build sections unless there's absolutely no empty space |

The reason that it wasn't implemented in release1 is because people were impatient for it :P
Although it WILL come, just later. |
