It really was USPS's fault. Not only do they have a one day garuntee for live animals (they took two) but last night it wasn't at the nearest post office, but one fairly close. They could of easily called and we'd of gone and picked them up, saving them a day of travel and giving the weak one a better chance.
I got a Buff Orpington, who likes to walk on my hand I got a Easter Egger with a big fluffy head I got a Speckled Sussex who will not stop peeping and the one who died was a barred rock. |

I'm sorry about your chicken's death... I went into this thread expecting a joke thread... I didn't get a joke thread. Now I am sad, since one of your chicks died. :( |

Buff Orpington - Came from England and it's a good source of meat. Easter Egger - Lays Blue and Green eggs. Speckled Sussed - Considered a "backyard chicken" Barred Rock - a good source of meat, very dominate against other docile types of chickens.

I would've preferred an Ancona chicken. Considering they lay a range of 200-250 eggs a year. They take flight easily. (Yes Chickens can fly, so can turkeys but not far) They are small and very easy to feed.

| Funnydude, its safer than you would think, if the hatchery is responsible (it was) and if you ship express, and any decent hatchery will make you choose express. They also pad the boxes and add a heat pad. |
