(Takes place in the year 2142)
-Premise- Umbra is perhaps the most technologically advanced city in Darkovia, and host a very large population due to its immense size.
Considered by some to be ‘the New York of the future’, Umbra is perhaps one of the most diverse cities as well, due to specific parts of it being separate from everything else.
Though a symbol of how the world has greatly moved past the modern era already, Umbra is also a symbol of the lawlessness and corruption that can take place with better technology…
-History- Umbra was the result of expanded technology and architectural ideals. It was to the be the symbol of technological advancements, and a factor that could be used as inspiration for many others.
How such a city was built so quickly, you ask? Umbra actually wasn't completely built from scratch. You see, it was created as an advancement to a city that was already very well going during the modern era.
The original city was built in 1578. It started out as little more than a wide collection of buildings, along with a small market. Overtime, however, the size and architecture of the city increased, along with the population within it.
However, as the city expanded through the centuries, factions notably rose through the ranks, each with different goals and ideals than advancement. This is one of the causes for the diversity in the city, along with vast amounts of crime on the streets.
As the city enlarged and expanded, diversity, factions, and crime expanded with it. At this point, during the New Future Era, although the enforcers of the law have improved, lawlessness still runs rampant in the less advanced parts of the city.
-Landscape- The landscape of the city is one of the things that makes it so highly recognizable. This city is absolutely filled with snakeline roads and turns, making it rather hard for those choosing to traverse through it.
Tunnels and bridges are very common, and places that you'd find a good amount of corruption. Illegal weaponry, drugs, and things that civilians are outlawed from possessing is smuggled through these locations. With all the advancements, its easier for corrupt civilians to get things into the city.
You'll find many other landscapes in the massive city, some better than the others. Those who are extremely rich are able to afford more advanced homes and live in safer areas. But for those who have low amounts of money or credits aren't so lucky, being forced to live into poorer areas.
-Economy- One of the largest economies within Darkovia, Umbra's system can be labelled as good or bad... depending on certain individuals. The rich tend to think of the economy as good, not knowing that its very infrastructure is run by unethical people.
Others are quite aware of the economic corruption, practically due to extreme low paying for certain jobs. This has resulted to lesser individuals turning to illegal methods to make money, such as selling drugs and weaponry, or joining up with one of the factions within the city.
-Vehicles and Transportation- With the increasing technology, more vehicles and types of transportation were implemented into the city, and the rest of the world. A good example would be that regular civilians could glance up in the sky, and see people being taken to another part of the city via a flying vehicle.
But not only that. Devices could 'warpers' have enabled people to seemingly teleport from one location to another. These devices are highly useful for those who would simply like to get from one place to the next in the blink of an eye. However, these are quite expensive, unless working with a faction or force that provides them.
-Factions- Hitman Guild: A faction full of mercenaries, assassin, and bounty hunters who decided to unite together, the Hitman Guild is responsibly for dozens of murders of social figures, political figures, and other citizens. They are elite in their work, and show no mercy.
The Akuma Clan: The Akuma Clan were once a bunch of corrupts smuggling things into the city, but now, they are much more dangerous. Driven to insanity by some unknown factor, the Akuma Clan has one goal: To take whatever they want, whenever they want.
The White Skull Organization: The White Skull Organization is a faction lead by its chaotic leader, The White Skull, who's real name is unknown to his men, or anyone who has heard of him. This organization is responsible for a great deal of the crime within Umbra, along with corruption of officials. Many people turn to this organization simply because it has very good pay.
S.O.A.R.D: One of the more scientific factions, S.O.A.R.D has created a plethora of technology that allows them to rival other factions. Their brilliance and intellect has allowed them to avoid giant conflicts with other factions, and to create wars that will help destroy any threats to their organization.
[Rules] . No Godmodding: Instantly completing task that could be reasonably stopped by another player.
. No Powerplaying: Controlling another person's character without PM or thread permission from that player.
. No constant No-Selling: When you always and repeatedly dodge a character's attack. Yes, you decide the outcome of what happens to your character after and attack, but ALWAYS dodging attacks without a logical explanation isn't fair for the other player.
. Put 'Pyrogram' in the 'Others' part of your CS if you read the rules, or else you won't be accepted.
. You DON'T have to be human. You can create your own species if you please.
. If you wish to create your own faction, have an idea, or want to cause large scale destruction, PM me first.

I'm confused as to what this is. Am I a part of these factions, or another citizen? More importantly, with a city this big how will ANY roleplayer meet eachother. XD
Jesus, why is this CS sheet so long. |

You CAN be apart of those factions if you wish. You can basically be whatever the heck you please. As for roleplayers meeting up, don't worry, the roleplayers are smart enough to find ways.
As for the CS Sheet, I like detail. |

YOU like detail. But other people, they don't.
That's a LOT of typing to do. |

That's how CS's work. Detail is key, and is not avoidable. I'm not going to accept a CS that lacks detail. |

| Alright. Yada yada yada, she grew up poor and orphaned. Her best friend died when she was 15. She ran away from foster homes (if they still have them), and lived on the streets. Sound good? |
