3D modelling with roblox, and "brick cutting" allowing complex shapes to be rendered as one part
Basically meaning, E981's dream come true.

CSG is going to help reduce lag by turning thousands of bricks into a one brick mesh
This helps makes guns function easier, along with less lag |

Constructive Solid Geometry
Basically make a huge detailed building and it only counts as one part |

its supposed to "help" builders by putting meshes and stuff together
but like all roblox updates, csg is gonna be crap

Well... Maybe I should throw some more light on what the CSG modeller actually does.
The CSG modeller isn't as amazing as people make it out to be, because first of all they don't really understand what it really does and the limits it has. I don't really feel like writing a huge wall of text about the CSG modeller again so I'll just cut it short.
So, first of all what the CSG modeller does: The CSG modeller converts physical objects (primitives, being "bricks" for the simple minded) into a mesh that is then placed into a part. The CSG modeller will have physics but it will be really rough so don't expect any one part half pipes and stuff like that to work perfectly.
By doing this it takes of a big load from the back of the client, so it no longer has to calculate where each part is (perfect for moving things like tanks, guns, helicopters... You name it). Instead of having a gun with 100 primitives which would cause some lag, you can instead have a one part gun that looks like the 100 primitive one, just that instead of being 100 primitives it is now one mesh.
Now, the sad part that people don't seem to understand, the limits.
The CSG modeller has it's limits, you won't be able to make huge super detailed things because there's a surface limit.
Rendering! Yes, all meshes needs rendering and that cause lag if the thing it needs to render has a billion different surfaces. Therefore when people say "lag free", that is a lie. Rendering is the thing that will cause lag.
There are more stuff but I just can't be bothered to write it all down, but this is the basics that you need to know.

Pros: Less lag due to the client not forced to calculate each primitives (ideal for moving things)
You can now make your own meshes
Less primitives (but your computer still has to render the meshes)
Cons:
You can't use already existing meshes
Textures will be a no go
Not much of a difference to the rendering but it is still going to lag, so "lag free" is a lie
That is about it in a very very basic form.
