Since I cannot edit posts, this is v2.0 of my idea "Glow [NOT PointLight or SpotLight]". This includes improvements and other stuff posted by participants.
READ THE WHOLE THING TO SEE CHANGES ADDED
One flaw with dynamic lighting is that the brick will only glow from the center. Just make a really long brick and insert a pointlight/spotlight and you'll see the flaw. Sure you can increase the range but that will make a laser look weird and the range has a limit. So may solution? SurfaceLight! The brick will glow from it's surface and you can change what side you want it to glow on.
README 5/25/2014 : No, you cannot use a surfacegui because it is not the same as a light. 1. You cannot adjust shadows, brightness, range, etc. 2. It does not glow like a pointlight or spotlight (Refer to this https://twitter.com/C0deCakes/status/470592750702714881/photo/1)
README 5/25/2014 : Inserting tons of bricks is just inefficient and will cause unnecessary lag. |

Support.
I would also like a "BrickLight" which lights up the entire brick for the length of all surfaces. That would make it a bit easier. |

Right now the quick solution is to use both Surface Gui's and point lights placed across the entire surface.

Technically, that's not necessary since you could just add bricks with spotlights without adding much lag, but this feature would make the whole process easier.
I think instead of adding a new asset, they should just revamp the old one to include surfaces.

Maybe be able to adjust the direction in which light goes, along with this? Having the entire brick glow with the light specifically going in one direction (Maybe increasing in size as it increases in distance per usual) would help a lot with developing as well.
Support nonetheless.

@game
Kind of this:
"you can change what side you want it to glow on." |

Also able to set the face (All is an option. If you want multiple faces, use multiple lights) |
