im going through a list of common surgical procedures and watching them on medical videos
it helps because i know what all of the organs are but i dont know what they actually look like or where theyre exactly located in the human body without seeing them exposed through surgery
right now im watching an appendectomy |

don't you normally just administer general anesthesia to people
you don't necessarily have to make the first cut or pick up an organ using tools, you just have to measure the right amount of substance to knock out someone |

No, I mean like my hand would shake and I would stick a scalpel where it shouldn't go.
I can have common sense and clumsiness too. :P |

i heard it pays pretty well that plus the satisfaction of making sure patients have a safe procedure, could make a very satisfactory career |

But if you screw up, it's the worst feeling in the world, because someone experienced surgery while awake.
...
On a less morbid note, screw ups are rare because intelligent, well-trained people take the job! :D |

You know you need to go to college for like 10 years to become one... Just because it's the highest paying job doesn't mean it will be easy to get.

I didn't mean that you were in it just for the money, I meant in better terms: "It's a very high paying job, it wont be easy to get"
Sorry if my post made you think that. |
