So this guy who KILLED 2 people got the death penalty. The b@$t@rd smiled and laughed at the family of the victims before he received lethal injection.
ABC titled their article "Family of Victims Shows No Sympathy at Killer's Execution"
Apparently the poor guy who thought killing was funny didn't die within 5 minutes. Oh, poor him. |

It doesn't matter if you say "what if it was your family." That's why you don't have the victim or his family doling out the punishment.
There's also something called the 8th amendment, which prevents cruel and unusual punishment. If someone is gasping for air 600+ times before they die, that's clearly cruel and unusual.
Not to mention the fact that in the US roughly 1 in 25 death row inmates are innocent or likely innocent. |
