Such as Enum.SpecialKey.ChatHotKey
In Whatever Floats Your Boat, I see him use custom chat, with a custom chat bar.
How can I detect when someone presses "/" ? |

| If I recall keyup has no reserves. He might be using the InputChanged event of the UserInputService |

Hm... though to type /, I need to hit Shift, then 7. Then what about people with e.g. hotkeys or just having to click 1 button to type /? If they hit Shift + 7, this method will fail. Though that solution is used in Athenaeum of Ages.

@OP
Observe them while they are pressing keys on the keyboard, and note when they press the '/' key. |

Might be a bit off topic, but I loved the old chat bar where I could press - instead of SHIFT + 7 (which is where the / button is located on my keyboard)

| Thank you Notunknown, It works wonderfully. Also, what's this about shift + 7? |

| On some non-standard keyboards, Shift+7 is the "/" key, but Shift+7 will create two events for Shift and 7 instead of Shift and /. |

| @oseday: On my keyboard, "!" is Shift+1 (I am assuming it is for you, too) which means you cannot get when a player presses "!" without testing for Shift. On some keyboards "/" is Shift + 7, meaning you cannot get when a player presses it (Which makes chatting trickier) |

| Hold shift scripts suck because when you hold shift, un-focus from RPB, let go of shift, and refocus, shift is still being held! :( |
