il give u questions, they ARE NOT my homework okay
1. A meteor is about to hit Earth, you need to find the correct flight equation in order for the missile to hit the Meteor, the coordinates of the Earth is (0, 0) whilst the coordinates of the meteor is (5,27), 3 scientists are suggesting 3 flight equations, which one is correct and why?
1a. y= 4x + 7 1b. y= 5x + 3 1c. y= 6x - 2

well you need to just plug in x into the equation which is 5 test out each equation 1a. 5*4 = 20 20 + 7 = 27
1b. 5*5 = 25 25 + 3 = 28
1c. 6*5 = 30 30 - 2 = 28
therefore the answer is 1a.

y = 4x + 7
If you fill in the x-coordinate 5, you get this:
y = 4*5 + 7 y = 27
Which equals what the y-coordinate is with x = 5.

why do you want the meteor to hit the earth anyway. that's bad. don't you want it to miss. otherwise all life on earth will be eradicated.

What I like is, that if you graph the line, it would actually move away from the earth. I'd prefer it if the line would go downward and that the horizontal axis would be named "t", as in "time before impact" with t = 0 being the impact. ^^

i wish i could draw a graph, and send it here, because then you'd have to draw the line so that the missile hits the metor, which is easy, because all you need to do is find the equation for that, and apply it to where you want to pinpoint the missile

okay oh buddie oh pal. sorry my sisiter is watching mickey mouse
1.How do you find the length of a slanted slope of a Triangle. One side of the Triangle is 5 cm, the other is 7 cm. What do?
2. 45+7x=100(32-15)-35x, find the equivalent number of X.
3. John, who has an IQ of 71, makes a circle, he uses a ruler and measures it from the centre to the side. He gets 10cm, the answer is actually 5cm. His mum is still proud of him. What is the diameter and circumference and area of the circle?

If you were really smarter than me you wouldn't resort to petty things such as calling me a redneck and insulting the intelligence of others. You can do your summer school work all by yourself, you're a big boy now. :^) |

What is a slanted slope? I don't know most English mathematical terms. Btw, does the triangle have an angle with 90°?
2. 45+7x=100(32-15)-35x, find the equivalent number of X.
45 + 7x = 100(32 - 15) - 35x 42x = 3200 - 1500 - 45 42x = 1655 x = 1655/42 x = 39,404761904761904761904761904762 x = 39 (rounded)
3. John, who has an IQ of 71, makes a circle, he uses a ruler and measures it from the centre to the side. He gets 10cm, the answer is actually 5cm. His mum is still proud of him. What is the diameter and circumference and area of the circle?
10cm diameter circumreference = diameter * pi 10 * 3,1415 = 31,415 = 31 (rounded)

nah, just admit it. anyways, please, do not resort yourself to confusing your own gender. also, thank you for saying i am a big boy, that is my life long dream to gain approval from you. thank you. i have waited 10 years for this. thank you.
@mycro
by slanted slope i mean the side of the triangle which is a bit curvy.
number 3 is correct, and so is 2, i was just about to say it was wrong, but then i saw the brackets lol

Triangles are made out of straight lines, they can't be curvy. You can use the distance formula or Pythagorean Theorem if it's a right triangle.
distance = rad[(x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2] |

yea that one. its 7 squared + 5 squared, the answer will be 74, then you have to square root that, which is aprox 8.6

If the triangle is a right triangle which means it has a right angle in it you can use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the length of any of the sides if you have the lengths of 2 other sides.
Pythagorean Theorem = a^2 + b^2 = c^2
Assuming 5 and 7 are the legs, we get this:
5^2 + 7^2 = h^2
25 + 49 = h^2
74 = h^2
8.6 = h |
