A special edition that comes out between versions 12.2 and 12.3 of the power rankings! This is all going to be live and I will be doing this one team at a time, from 12 to 1.
I will begin typing at 10:20pm ET. Right now I have to update standings.
I will rank every team's OFFENSE, DEFENSE, GOALTENDING, and then combine for an OVERALL grade.

PHOENIX BLAZE // 2-9-0 (11th in league, 2nd in South) OFFENSE: D+ DEFENSE: D GOALKEEPING: D OVERALL: D
I could tell that the entire Phoenix squad is angry at their past performance and they know that it was a huge one to let slip away. A divisional match-up that could be the difference between the postseason and being thrown out of the league ended in a blowout as the Havoc earned their first win tonight. Not only did they get their first win, they got it with style. The Blaze helped Houston cut their negative goal differential in half, and for themselves, they lowered their goal differential to -32, the worst in the league (by far). Nothing on this team looks spectacular, and besides their quick two-game winning streak, this team has nothing to brag about. They might still be in a spot right now, but I don't see them staying there with play like that.

HOUSTON HAVOC // 1-8-1 (12th in league, 3rd in South) OFFENSE: C DEFENSE: D GOALKEEPING: C- OVERALL: C-
Some of you might be shocked that these guys aren't last, because they are last in the league and they've been feeding in the cellars for ages, but I will tell you one thing: they got the win when it counted. There couldn't have been a better game to get their first two points. A divisional rival that's only a few points away from them was looking for a knockout punch, and is now laying in the turf with missing teeth after tonight's performance. Excellent way to rebound, and now suddenly they could be saving themselves from the red line, especially with Montreal's poor showing tonight against the Dolans.

@nin
no because top two by division make it, not top 8 in league standings.

MONTREAL BLIZZARDS // 1-7-3 (10th in league, 3rd in Atlantic) OFFENSE: C DEFENSE: D- GOALKEEPING: C- OVERALL: D+
Montreal has a lot of potential on their roster. Poi and Habs have failed to show up to games lately, and that's rather a letdown for a team that could be floating in the top half of the standings if they game to most of the games. Their letting a bunch of back-ups (no offense) control the team, and it's been showing the past few games. If the Blizzards want to keep their "longest franchise ever to exist" streak going, they have to start winning. Phoenix and Houston now know what blood tastes like, and it's only going to get worse if they don't start winning right now. Lots of players that could put a puck into the net, Habs can play some good net most of the time (note their goalkeeping is a C- currently) and there is just a lot of talent floating around this squad.

CAIRO PYRAMIDS // 7-5-0 (4th in league, 1st in division) OFFENSE: C DEFENSE: D+ GOALKEEPING: D- OVERALL: D
The first seven games for the Pyramids went extremely well. The preseason was good too, but who counts that (umm....anyone???) Then they decided it would be funny to mess around after their first loss to Winnipeg. They got stomped 1-7 against Guelph (who is good, but still), and ever since then have dropped games left and right. Losing the LAH line and Prust, it's going to be a very long climb if they want to keep their spot. I know, I know, why 9th? They lead their division, they're in good position for the postseason? Well, like I mentioned earlier, their talent is now gone, and slowly Cairo is getting beat by previous teammates (Moose Jaw was tonight). Sad to say that this team is falling from undefeated to hoping that Montreal keeps losing, or else it could be the lag script controversy all over again.

DETROIT DYNAMO // 4-6-1 (9th in league, 3rd in Metropolitan) OFFENSE: C+ DEFENSE: C GOALKEEPING: C OVERALL: C
One of the quiet teams in the league (so is the next team in the rankings), the Dynamo have slowly taken their hand off of the panic button and are rising from the basement of the standings. Does this mean playoffs? To be honest, making the playoffs is going to be unlikely. They are in a division that is just too good to keep up with and then overtake. However, another strong ending would be great, and of course, anything is possible. All they have to worry about is to not fall below the red line, and things will end okay for another run next season.

MINNESOTA MOOSE // 6-6-0 (8th in league, 3rd in Northwest) OFFENSE: B- DEFENSE: C+ GOALKEEPING: C+ OVERALL: C+
As of recent, the Moose have dropped a few games, and have went 2-3-0 in their past five games. This allowed Moose Jaw to jump them for the second spot in the Northwest Division and take the postseason spot temporarily. Minnesota is going to need a wonderful second half in order to have a chance at playing into the middle of August. Right now, their division is proving to be the hardest division to qualify for the postseason, and that means that there is simply no time to be stuck in a win-loss-win-loss trend, or to lose consecutive games that matter.
