Buy a Windows tablet. Where you went wrong is where you spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars, on a slab of arranged metal whose only feature was to open and run purchased and installed apps.

...I found my mistake. It's not possible to make a loyal Apple customer understand anything about technology.
No. No, no, no. You don't have to uninstall apps to get your charger to work, and that's a ridiculous idea that only the most technologically disengaged individual would spew.
If your iPad isn't charging, there's a problem with the way it charges itself. That means either the charger input of your iPad is broken, or you need a new charger (ouch, those Apple chargers cost as much as a smartphone). Try charging your iPad with a different charger or in a different AC output (plugin socket or whatever you...other people...call it).

Oh no. Don't buy a Windows 7 laptop. If you have enough money to get anything by Apple, get a Windows 8.1 Surface Pro 3 and a corresponding type cover.
Think about this, person who likes Win7 most. You're going to sacrifice a few years and more money on upgrading and maintaining an old, soon-to-be largely unsupported laptop just so you can run Windows 7, whose only big difference from Windows 8 is that it can't run Metro applications or access the Start Screen. Such devotion, all to have fewer features.

| Soon to be unsupported? Well XP was just unsupported in around march so 7 still have plenty good years left. Windows 8 is incompatiable with many programs that work on windows 7. And windows 8 is gross and IS windows 7, on a tablet, with a bonus screen. |

No, not completely unsupported by Microsoft. But more focus is being directed towards Windows 8 because more can be done with it, with all the cross-device compatibility and such that only Windows 8 and 8.1 have. Also, you'll want to update to Windows 8.2 pretty soon. It's basically Windows 8.1 + bug fixes - Start Screen + Start Menu. But for me, I like the Start Screen. I guess I'm just better at adapting to change.

I don't understand how Windows 8 was made for only browsing the web when it has just as many desktop program games as Windows 7, plus all those offered by Metro applications.
Windows 8 has the same core programming as Windows 7, so it has the same compatibility for desktop programs.
Windows 7 is for everything essential to your technological survival. Windows 8 is everything Windows 7, but with Metro apps, more settings, more ease of access for everyone, device compatibility and optional synchronization, and touch screen optimization.

You can do everything on Windows 8.1 that you can do on Windows 7, and that's a fact. Also quite notable that you can do more on Win8.1 than on any other publicly released operating system in the world.
Also, that little script bit wouldn't work because I am supporting Windows 8.1, and not as much Windows 8, which felt more like a beta for 8.1.

You probably don't know what cheesy means, or at least you're not using it correctly, even according to your point. :P
You ran out of counterarguments and now you're repeating your main point over and over because that's all you have left.
Also, you'll want a trigger on that script, like "while true".

A counterargument is basically the same as a counterpoint, except more specific. It doesn't entail the same hostility as an argument. A counterargument is a term that is also applicable to civilized debates, and not just arguments.

I'm using a Windows 8.1 laptop now. And trust me, it was worth it to wait 2 days just to install Windows 8.1. Yeah.

@128GB It's convenient, depending on what you want to do with the script.
