These days, many threads are deleted for no apparent reasons, and leave authors confused.
Have you read the ROBLOX forum rules? I have. And at the very bottom, with some of the most intricate embellishment found on the post, reads "not everything is in the rules." On paper, this seems reasonable; after all, some justified, dignified moderators could come by and clean up messes unfixable by code. However, in practice, this leads to uncertain deletions; sometimes by corrupt mods. And, to even further complicate things, this "not everything is in the rules" rule relies on users to have good intentions; but what if users don't think their posts did any wrong at all?
Most common of these deletions are threads criticizing moderators themselves. These should not be classified as personal attacks, as listed in the rules. Flame? Sometimes. But for the other times, deletion of these threads is unacceptable. Freedom of speech is in the first amendment, after all. Rather than for the sake of the rules, these threads are deleted for personal satisfaction of moderators. Really, I think it's mostly MrDoomBringer, but that's another story for another time.
Another common deletion is that of personal selfies. Personally, I'd understand this, would it not be for the fact that Mods post "do not post offsite links" as the reason for deletion of these threads. Why do I have a problem? Because when people post "/xxxxx," they aren't posting links(which in the rules, are defined as URLS). Here's the definition of a URL:
the address of a resource (as a document or Web site) on the Internet that consists of a communications protocol followed by the name or address of a computer on the network and that often includes additional locating information
As seen, a link, or URL, consists of multiple parts which are simply not found in "/xxxxx."
So do the forum rules justify these deletions? Sure, if you can consider "not everything is in the rules" as a rule. But in practice, how stable is it? How pure hearted can Mods (which we need) stay on a forum riddled with flaming, and based on granting free power to Mods? I post this here because of the relevance to deletions on OT. However, this applies to all forums. So, ROBLOX, I have one more thing to say; if you're going to enforce rules, at least write them down. |

| Just because freedom of speech is the first amendment doesn't mean it applies outside of America. |

As a company in the United States, ROBLOX is expected to abide by the commandments. Is it? On paper, yes. Is its Mods? Not always. That's why this was written. |

| The mods are from all the around the world, and you are wrong, websites are different from countries, as the internet has absolutely no rules, and nsa is merely watching us. |

ROBLOX is still a company operating in the United States. Furthermore, it's based in the United States. Do you think that just because it extends outward, it can ignore the rules of the United States? Absolutely not. |

This isn't going to change how the mods think. Why? Because they're older and less influenced by other beliefs.
Still, I'll give you credit for taking the time to type this, because I sure as hell wouldn't have. |

It's absolutely worth a try. And this isn't exactly targeting the Mods themselves. I want the rules to be updated.
As an analogy, activists (of any sort) don't stop their activities because there are chances that those who they want to influence won't listen. |

| If your too lazy to read that heres a summary: Sometimes thread deletions are rediculous and sometimes the threads get deleted even though they are not really violating the rules |

Also the first amendment only applies to congress not making laws against freedom of speech.
Roblox has the legal right to remove whatever they want from their site for any reason whatsoever.

Well, if you think about it, when a mod deletes a post, it represents what they think, now to say that them deleting posts means their interpretation is stupid, and if they are not allowed to delete post in a sense they are not freely thinking.
A mod is simply a person with more power than you. |

You can't get them to change it. It's that simple. As we get older we're less likely to listen to other's suggestions, typically ones from people who are younger. |

Take ATR as an example, 60% of the threads that are actually related to roblox are deleted for no reason at all.

the internet doesn't need to follow the first amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances
"Congress shall make no law"
the first amendment applies to congress and congress only |

You've just put forth a useless blob of babble.
@boshi
That's the thinking that stops people from voting. It's the thinking that stops any action. What you're saying is a good idea, but it's not exactly backed up by anything (or at least anything you've said). |

I don't think you're getting what I'm trying to say. Adults simply don't listen to younger people's suggestions. Try convincing your mom to move some furniture around. If it works you're pretty lucky. |
