my favorite rap song?
hard to say. intellectually, the new hopsin song (ill mind of hopsin 7) might take the cake just for jamming though, probably 14400 minutes by chance |

"intellectually, the new hopsin song (ill mind of hopsin 7) might take the cake"
ill mind 7 was the most in-your-face, least thought-provoking insight into the average 14 year old's thoughts on religion there ever was and probably ever will be |

regardless of your opinion, it summed up every opinion i've ever had regarding religion in the most accurate way i could fathom i think if you paid attention to the lyrics closely, regardless if your opinion on the song changed, you might better understand why i find it so important |

i paid attention the lyrics closely, which is why i didnt like it.
"IM NOT READIN THIS [] BOOK CAUSE A HUMAN WROTE IT" "I HAVE A BRAIN AND YOU SHOULD KNOW IT"
this wouldnt even be considered good lyricism in middle school |

@altair
well he said those things because he's trying to emphasize the contradicting viewpoints that he is torn between when he said he's not reading the bible, it's part of the "well it wasn't presented by a deity, it was a human interpretation, so how am i expected to follow it?" when he says he has a brain, he is saying that well, the brain is what is making him having conflicting thoughts EVEN THOUGH the god is what created it, so how is he supposed to assume a god made it if it's making him conflicted? |

granted, the lines themselves aren't lyrically impressive, but it's how it ties into the story that allows it to progress his thought process
i didn't say he was the most lyrically talented but this song in particular hits home to me due to the intellectual topic and how he addresses it, in my opinion, spot on accurately |

| i don't see how anyone but the typical middle schooler could believe this to be deep songwriting but to each their own i guess |

i never said indie? honestly, i fail to recognize indie as a genre. you can't even define indie.
kanye west has a mainstream following but i feel as if you cherish his pompous demeanor |

"im a functioning human being which means i can separate someone's personal life from their music"
you'd be surprised how many people can't thank you for recognizing this
"i don't listen to them anymore after they got arrested" like why the hell do you care, the music didn't change |

| if anything i'd be more interested in someone's music after something happened to them, kanye released two of my favorite albums of his (808s, MBDTF) right after his mom died |
