Purity CONTENTS) 1) BACKSTORY 2) RULES 3) FACTIONS 4) CHARACTER SHEET
Backstory:
We designed them to be our servants. We designed them to be our workers. We didn't design them to have their own mind, their free will. In the year 2015, the first sentinent mechanical being was made, but in all the astonishment it received, it was an unaware, steel, robot man, who could only speak in one word sentences, and perform mundane tasks. Forwarding four more years, technology advanced, and so did they. The robots became Musuem Custodians, Waitresses, butlers, and other tasks that we could not be bothered to complete.
Two more years, they served as every countries soldier, ranging from 7-14 FT, waging the war not through blood and flesh, but steel and sparks. Three years later, they served only themselves, each one slowly gaining its own self awareness. Buildings became devoid of life, entire cities crumbled. What seemed to be the end of mankind was stopped only by one trait that both the humans and the robots shared. Will. The will to do whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want. They found this, and they joined together, striving to create a future together.
But not everything can go to plan, especially with these, mechanical beings. When the idea came that Humans should be able to create a compartment in every mech, so that they may control them, most were outraged, and a new war began. The mechs that agreed to the idea of allowing Humans to assist them stayed with the humans, and in turn, helped them with the war. One leader of the independent mechs described its faction as "Pure," and went farther, calling it's group "The Pure." The opposing faction dubbed themselves, "The Alliance." The Alliance mechs engineered a heavy, black, suit, designed for humans to fight on their own, while retaining strong armor, and advanced technology.
The Pure have designed mechanical humanoid robots, at the size of a man, to combat the humans numbers. Some countries have been completely destroyed, namely New Zealand, Australia, Sweden, France and Ukraine. The Alliance is based around America, Russia and Africa, with The Pure based in Greenland, The Arctic and Antarctica. The war is now fought with energized weaponry, with the humans also using explosive rounds fired from large, immobile cannons. Gauss Rifles, Rail Guns, old fashioned rocket launchers, anything that can burn or take a chunk out of metal, they are what todays war is fought with.
Rules.
1) Roblox rules apply, apart from the one that allows me to verbally abuse you if you anger me, or my friends. 2) It's best if we have an even amount of people for both factions. I don't care if it's all mechs on one side and all humans on the other. 3) Both factions have their strengths and weaknesses. Use them to your advantage. 4) Weapons are to be futuristic, but not overpowered. 5) Romance is.to be kept at a minimum. No Mech Romance. Please... 6) There are admin exclusive mechs. The mechs are as followed: E-1 Mantis, M-1 Ravager, M-2 Firewalker and the P-4 Spearhead.
Factions.
The Pure: A genocidal mechanical race, this faction consists of mechs ranging from 7-14 FT. They often use human sized androids to combat against the human numbers. The androids are an example of what the original mechs were, mindless, obedient servants. The Pure are stationed in Greenland, Spain, and Antarctica. They are equipped with large energized sniper rifles, assault rifles, launchers, and blades.
The Alliance: A faction that consists of Unpure Mechs and Humans, they have come to an agreement that both races should live side by side, each one assisting each other. The Unpure Mechs are given the term, 'unpure' as they allow themselves to be changed in such a a way that they offer themselves to humans, allowing the humans to control them. They are based in America, Russia and Africa. They are equipped with energized weapons scaled to both human size and mech size, along with stationary Heavy Explosive artillery guns
Faction Branches.
The Pure.
Purifiers: A special forces branch of The Pure, they often serve as hunters and military police. They have exceptional skill in tracking and pursuing targets. Teams of four consist of one B-1 Beast as the leader, one H-2 Runner, one H-1 Jumper and a B-2 Rook. They are rarely seen in the battlefield, rather working behind the scenes.
HEFA Brigade: The 'Hell From Above" brigade are specially designed H-1 Jumpers and C-2 Dreadnoughts, the upgrades allowing them to survive a landing from up to 5'000 FT. They are often dropped from a multitude of enlargened VTLA-A TMH Aircrafts. They are used when a C-3 Commander designates an area for HEFA, or reinforcements.
502 Artillery Platoon: A large platoon consisting of A-LRBS-1 mechs, they are often deployed at the FOB of a battlefield, and give assistance to forces in the field through the use of their artillery. W-1 Worker Bots are assigned to protect them, and repair them if needed.
The Alliance.
Crack-Shots: A branch of the Alliance, they consist of human snipers deployed in the mountains, or from H-2 Lights. They are always armed with a large, heavy energy sniper rifle, a Long-Range Rail Rifle, to be exact. These rifles weigh up to 36 KG's, thus proving themselves ineffective in close quarters. They are called the crack-shots due to the loud crack the rifle makes upon impact of the target.
252 Rolling Legs Brigade: Each unit consisting of two P-3 Demolishers and one T-1 Titan, they are often the muscle of most armies. They move together, providing heavy explosive and energy fire. Engineers and pilots are always in control of these beasts.
Centurions: A special operations force, they are a four man team of A.I. centurions, and humans armored in the Centurion. They are used to sabotage or block enemy movement, enemy production, or gather intel. F-1 Samurais are their most common use of transportation, with Vipens equipped on the bottom.
Mechs.
The Pure: 7-14 foot tall robots. Many of the newly constructed are mindless androids, doing only what their masters tell them, and nothing more. However, even the mindless androids are devastating compared to normal humans, effectively being four-bot fire teams compared to normal human military groups.
Android models:
W-1 Worker bot (fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/250/f/5/worker_bot_by_trufanov-d6lcg8e.jpg ): Not effective in combat except as cannon fodder, W-1's are noncombat models that labor, usually making other androids. However, when in groups of 3, they can effectively repair a damaged mech.
W-2 HCH Beetle (fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/139/6/e/beetle_walker_by_hazzard65-d3gpvzo.jpg ): The Heavy Cargo Hauler was one of the first android models, being designed and produced before "The Pure" took control. Beetles are used for hauling cargo, and some have been refitted as heavily armored carriers for smaller troops.
S-1 Battler (th03.deviantart.net/fs9/PRE/i/2006/150/c/5/Skirmisher_Mech_by_flyingdebris.jpg ): This spindly skirmisher bot is one of the first combat designs, though it is now considered obsolete. It stands at a grand total of 9 feet, or a man and a half tall. It is equipped with a mutlitude of weapons so it can take on any class of foe, but its armor will only stand up to a single rocket or two.
H-1 Jumper (fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/092/8/b/just_a_mech_by_progv-d3d15xf.jpg ): A sturdy android model, it was a popular combat bot before The Pure rose and took over. Its name comes from its ability to jump higher than most other bots can hope to achieve, while still being sturdy enough to resist most small arms and a few rockets.
S-2 Shocker (fc08.deviantart.net/fs7/i/2005/200/4/d/MECH_by_svahaa.jpg ): Standing at just over the height of an average human, the Shocker was designed by The Pure to combat human infantry. Now that the Unpure are offering themselves to the humans, the Shocker is less valuable than before, as it mostly uses small arms to defeat human infantry.
H-2 Runner (th03.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2013/120/0/0/lunchtime_mech_doodle_by_hazzard65-d63l2im.jpg ): An upgrade to the Jumper, the Runner doesn't have as strong of a jumping capability, but instead it runs much faster, and over much tougher terrain. Additionally, it has been equipped with high-power minicannons, which can destroy infantry and armor alike.
B-1 Beast (fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/099/b/8/daily_mech_painting_by_progv-d3dl9rc.jpg ): The Battlebot-1 Beast is the first model of the B series, started by The Pure, an upgrade to the S series. The Beast is not as fast as the S or H series, but it makes up for it with heavy armor and weaponry. Additionally, it sports slightly more self-awareness than other androids, able to make its own tactical decisions in the heat of battle, and is equipped with a topside motion sensor to alert it of immediate threats.
A-LRBS-1 (th05.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2014/197/e/2/another_mech_design_concept_art_by_nobody00000000-d7qwz81.jpg ): The Long Range Bombardment System is, in one, a battle mech, a tank, and an artillery system. It is a beast, with heavy armor and a moderate movement speed, though it needs to deploy and stay still to use its railgun with any accuracy.
B-2 Rook (fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/362/c/e/rook_support_mech_by_jakeparker-d35vbc0.jpg ): The B-2 rook was designed specifically for fighting other mechs. With a minigun on one arm, and a high-powered energy rifle on the other, the Rook is a force to be reckoned with. It is roughly twice the height of a man, and is heavily armored.
Intelligent Pure: Self-aware bots that can act fully on their own, these Pure are usually commanders or commandos. However, there are rumors of self-aware bots that secretly changed their frame to one of the android models, so they won't have to acknowledge themselves really being on either side.
C-2 Dreadnought (http:/fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2009/346/a/d/Mech_by_Choplifter.jpg ): Self-aware, intelligent, and very cunning, the Dreadnought is the successor to the C-1 model, which was found defective and all models of which were dismantled. The Dreadnought has heavy armor, protecting an extensive computer core. The twin miniguns on its shoulders can hold off infantry and other mechs, while the communication equipment gives orders to androids to do whatever tasks are needed of them.
C-3 Guardian (fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/337/4/7/squad_support_mech_12_mark_iii_by_hazzard65-d345yv0.jpg ): While not as heavily armed or armored as the Dreadnought, the Guardian is still a force to be reckoned with. It is lighter, more compact, and more mobile, allowing it to be anywhere on the battlefield it is needed. Its computer core is more analytical than the Dreadnought, allowing it to analyze and assign troops where and when they are needed. And to top it off, its quad railguns can punch through opposing mechs with ease.
Other: Stuff that doesn't fit into either of the other categories.
E-1 Mantis (fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/159/b/4/mantis_by_trufanov-d3icm1s.jpg ): An experimental bot, the Mantis would be the bane of any opposing army it came across. None have been built, though there are rumors of hidden construction sites where they are being built.
VTLA-A TMH (th07.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/f/2013/028/d/8/transport_modular_helicopter_2010_by_karanak-d5t0t4e.jpg ): The Vertical Takeoff Low Altitude-Assault Transport Modular Helicopter is the go-to air transport for the Pure. Controlled by a specialized android AI, it can transport most types of androids and C-3 commanders into the field.
The Alliance: With more and more sensible robots coming over to their side, the "unpure" are drilled into, making room for human occupants. While not all bots coming over are compatible with human pilots, the majority are, and personal suits have been established that equal power to Pure androids. In addition, a few mech types were compatible with human pilots without having their systems massively reduced, making them hybrids, with humans controlling main functions and the bot controlling secondary ones. Each "Unpure" still retains control over their voice and the power output.
Personal Infantry Units: PIUs are infantry-sized armor suits made with integrated mini-AI's. They are a distinctly human creation, as no bots have been recorded as anywhere similar to these models. However, they are useful, as they allow infantry to move around without being killed by one bullet to the head or chest.
PIU-1 Spaceman (th08.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2010/240/a/2/mech_suit_by_flyingdebris-d2xhg31.jpg ): With the distinctive look of a spacesuit, this PIU can indeed survive in a vacuum. However, it is much more heavily armed and armored, with a right-arm-mounted minigun and shoulder-mounted rocket pods.
PIU-2 Centurion (fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/232/d/6/cr_7_centurion_by_hazzard65-d479plp.jpg ): An upgrade to the Spaceman, the Centurion is a suit of armor that allows more mobility, more dexterity, and more strength. While it has no integrated weapons of its own, a soldier with a Centurion could lift a heavy railgun, fire it, and not break their arm, while wrecking whatever they hit. However, the armor on a Centurion is lighter than that of a Spaceman.
Unpure Mechs: Bots that allowed themselves to have human passengers, the Unpure have actually established a symbiotic relationship with their human pilots. While the human controls main functions such as movement, weapon control, and such, the mech AI is on passive duty, providing intelligence, regulating power, and managing communications channels.
P-1 Hammer (fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2013/077/b/a/mech_by_lazymk-d5yftxa.jpg ): The Hammer is one of the first classes of mechs to come over to the human side. They are heavily armored, and though they may lack a little in the way of weaponry over other mech types, they retain enough space to keep much of their computer core, even with the pilot. This allows them to be more helpful than others, as they can momentarily assume control and dodge out of the way of a damaging shot, or fire a weapon at a critical second. They also possess a recon drone for scouting ahead.
P-2 Juggernaut (fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/176/9/7/mech_by_dkiearth9-d3kivss.jpg ): The Juggernaut is a heavily armored front-line fighter. They sacrificed most of their AI core to provide space for their pilots, armor, and weaponry. This paid off, however, because the Juggernaut is the go-to mech for front-line fighters.
P-3 Demolisher (fc09.deviantart.net/fs50/f/2009/275/2/4/Assault_Mech_II_by_KaranaK.jpg ): The Demolisher is, without a doubt, very heavily armed. The Demolisher is also unique in that, while other mechs have the pilot tucked away behind armor with cameras to show the battlefield, the Demolisher has the pilot right behind a reinforced, partially transparent sheet of armor. While the pilot has more risk, they have a close-up and personal view of the battlefield, and their vision cannot be distorted by hacking or an electrical pulse.
P-4 Spearhead (th01.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2010/221/c/5/MBAW_420_SpearHead_by_KaranaK.jpg ): An experimental design, the Spearhead incorporates all the best features of every other Pilot mech model. It is heavily armed and armored, has a partially transparent viewscreen for the pilot, and it has two seats, one fo the pilot, and one tucked away inside for a gunner. The downside though, is that it cannot generate enough power on its own to both propel the mech and charge the railgun, so for this it carries large batteries, with a total of enough power for six railgun shots.
Other Vehicles: Tanks, tank-mechs, and various other vehicles.
T-1 Titan (th05.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2011/121/8/0/titan_tank_final_by_hazzard65-d3fcpkx.jpg ): The Titan is a battle tank made to pound enemy mechs into oblivion. It has one weapon, a heavy explosive cannon, and heavy armor as well. It completely immune to small-arms fire.
M-1 Ravager MID (th03.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2011/248/3/9/mobile_ion_destroyer_by_karanak-d48xnyv.jpg ): Toting a huge energy cannon, the Ravager effectively fires one, gigantic EMP, pretty much melting the circuits of whatever is in its blast radius. Its blast radius is huge however, and using it is considered a last-resort option, as mechs both allied and enemy will be destroyed by it.
M-2 Firewalker (fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/348/b/1/mbt_firewalker_by_karanak-d33fhzb.jpg ): A design not yet put into full production, the Firewalker will be the second Mech-Tank to come out, it is a combination of human and mech design. It possesses a minor AI, which can moderate passive systems, but most functions require human input. Its main weapon, a huge gauss twin cannon, can rip apart anything it hits. It can carry up to five, a pilot and main gunner, a secondary gunner for the co-axial machine gun, and 3 passengers using support systems.
V-1 Vipen (fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/324/5/9/hezuka_zx990_vipen_by_hazzard65-d5ll9vd.jpg ): A personal infantry transport, the Vipen can carry one soldier fast, over any terrain. However, it has very little armor, no weapons, and it cannot accomodate too much weight.
F-1 Samurai (th03.deviantart.net/fs12/PRE/i/2006/310/5/b/spaceship_unfinished_by_PS_D.jpg ): While not able to carry more than two mechs on the bottom, which slows it down by a lot, the Samurai is capable of transporting infantry and PIUs wherever they need to go.
F-2 Light (fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/263/6/1/transport_unit_sci_fi_by_alexdrummo-d4adu1u.jpg ): Utilizing energy generators more powerful than ever before, the Light is the fastest vehicle around on either side. However, it is only capable of transporting one mech and up to 8 infantry or PIUs.
Infantry: Alliance infantry in regular gear, for going up against the smaller, lighter Pure mechs.
Classes (fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/079/0/f/future_squad_by_karanak-d2znhjn.jpg ): Classes that infantry are assigned to.
Engineer: Lightest second only to the Recon, Engineers are more tech and demolitions experts. With their SMG, they can hold off an opponent at close quarters with their bullet-hoses, but anything longer is useless. But their real specialty lies in explosives. Mines, bombs, grenades, anything highly explosive and dangerous.
Assault: Equipped with assault rifles, grenades, and occasionally toting a rocket launcher, the Assaulters are allways at the front lines. Their assault rifles can tear down the armor of an opposing mech, or disable it with precision shots to sensitive areas.
Medic: The heaviest class, the medic is not only a healer, but an LMG-toting bullet sprayer. Like Assaults, they carry grenades and often a rocket launcher, as well as heavy med-kits and injectors to keep other soldiers going.
Recon: The lightest, and yet one of the most essential classes, the Recon will usually carry a high-powered sniper rifle for precision strikes from afar, or close up with EMP devices and scramblers, which they can attach to mechs to disable them. However, these devices will need to be placed at either the head or the neck of the mech, meaning the Recon will have to scale the body. (EMP device: frigginclan.com/v3/images/emp_mine.png )
Fire support droid (fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/336/2/2/fire_support_droid_fsx_30m_by_karanak-d343r6x.jpg ): A flying, heavily armed small drone bot that has sided with the humans, it remains "Pure", but works with human infantry against Pure bots. They are primarily equipped with an autocannon, though some are equipped with rocket pods and sensors, for heavy assault and recon, respectively.
Grenades (th09.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/f/2013/245/3/5/grenades_by_karanak-d6krnck.jpg ): Several types of grenades are carried around by soldiers, Fragmentation, Acid, Gas, Pulse, Stun, and Cluster. Obviously, Gas and Stun are near useless against robotic enemies, so they are only carried against riots or insurgents and other breakaway human forces.
Fragmentation grenades: Obviously, frags. They come down, they explode, shrapnel goes everywhere and slices up everything it hits.
Acid: Comes down, and explodes in a spray of acid. The acid will melt almost everything it touches, so against lightly armored or damaged mechs it can be devastating.
Gas: Comes down, shoots up a spray of gas, sometimes riot gases like tear gas or sleeping gas, though at times it may contain very deadly gases such as Mustard gas.
Pulse: It comes down, and creates an electronic shockwave. It has a blast radius similar to the Frag, but only disables electronics. These are devastating against mechs, because there isn't much way to protect against it.
Stun: They come over, and create a large flash and bang, with a concussion-like effect that distorts enemies senses.
Cluster: Basically, 12 mini-frags. It comes down, shrapnel goes everywhere, enemies are sliced up. The cluster has a much large blast radius, but it can't pierce most types of cover, only destroying visible body parts.
