[UNITED STATES MILITARY AIRBASE] [1520HRS] [20/8/14] [BRIEFING] Alright gentlemen, gather around. A new flashpoint has exploded in Vietnam, due to discovery of a large oil reserve two miles off the coast of North Vietnam. This crisis has, of course, skewered the trades between the US and China, as they want to claim the oil for their own use, and do not need to rely upon us. Reconnaissance has shown that the Vietnamese military has surrendered already. China now has Vietnam under Martial Law, under fears that the Russians have discovered the oil and captured it for their own use, after spotting some oil rigs moving into the vast Pacific Ocean.
[THE TASK FORCE] You are a small eight-man special-forces fireteam, named "Fireteam Razor". The team specialises in guerilla warfare tactics. Your squad consists of an Engineer, a Combat Medic, a Grenadier, three Assaults, a Support Gunner, and a Designated Marksman.
[RULES] - No godmodding - Don't continue the RP far without me. (You can do one or two posts, but no more than a page, please.) - Don't be unrealistic - If you have to go, tell us. - Please read this thoroughly. - Use brackets "(" ")" for OOC. (Most of you should already know that. - Use quotation marks (") for speech. - Please notify me if you're going to make your character find a vehicle or something.
[WEAPONS] [PRIMARIES] [Choose 1] M4A1 [5.56x45mm NATO] The M4A1 is a versatile weapon, capable of ranges up to 400 metres. It has a magazine size of 30 rounds and is the main weapon of the US Military. Mk 17/SCAR-H [7.62x51mm NATO] The SCAR-H is a reliable weapon, firing at 600 Rounds Per Minute. It has a 20-round magazine, standard, however can be increased to 30. It can also take 50-round drums. Mk 48 [7.62x51mm NATO] The Mk 48 is a machine gun capable of 700 RPM. It has a 200-round belt. HK417 [7.62x51mm NATO] The HK417 is a Battle Rifle capable of engaging targets 500 to 600 metres away. It is generally used as a Designated Marksman Rifle, and is capable of 600 rounds per minute. It can carry 10 or 20 rounds, however can also feed on 30 and 50 round magazines. Mk 16/SCAR-L [5.56x45mm NATO] The Mk 16, also known as the SCAR-L, is a common weapon used in Special Operations. It fires at 600 RPM and holds 30 rounds in a standard magazine.
[SIDEARMS] [Choose 1] P226 [9mm] A sidearm capable of semi-automatic fire with an effective range of 50 metres. Use commonly as a police sidearm, but military special forces also use it as a reliable pistol. USP [.45 Auto] A pistol designed by H&K. It contains 12 rounds per magazine and is semi automatic, and has a mount for a laser or flashlight. Mk 23 [.45 ACP] Another pistol, designed by H&K, used by US SOCOM. It has 12 rounds, and is semi automatic.
[MELEE] [Choose one] Machete A long, steel blade. Combat knife (KABAR) Main melee weapon of the US Military.

{UNDERBARREL} [Choose 2] - Vertical Foregrip [Non-compatible with Grenade Launcher] - M203 [GRENADIER ONLY. Non-compatible with foregrip] - Side mounted Flashlight - Underbarrel laser [Note: Goes infront of the handguard, underneath the ironsight]
{OPTICAL} [Choose 1] - X4 ACOG - Holographic sight - Reflex sight - M38 CCO scope
{MAGAZINE} [Choose 1] - Standard - Quick reload magazine [Two magazines taped together for quicker reload. Standard magazine size. Unable to equip for LMGs.] - Extended [45 for 5.56 rifles, 30 for 7.62 rifles, unable to extend LMG magazines] - Drum magazine [50 round for 7.62, 100 for 5.56. Incompatible with M203, incompatible with LMGs. Two drums for 7.62 weapons, one for 5.56. Drums are carried in inventory, even if stated on your character sheet.]

{OPTICAL} - Night sights. [Little glowing dots on the ironsights, allow you to aim at night. Various colours]
[EQUIPMENT] [EVERYONE STARTS WITH NVGS, THEY CAN PICK TWO OTHER ITEMS.] - GPS [Shows your location] - Binoculars [4-8x magnification] - NVGs [Helmet mounted. This is already on your character, so this doesn't count as one of your two items.] - Airstrike designater [ONE PERSON ONLY] - Rangefinders [No magnification, instead measure range.] - 3 C4 + Clapper detonator. - Medical kits [COMBAT MEDIC ONLY - MUST HAVE] - Toolkit [ENGINEER ONLY - MUST HAVE]
[GRENADES] [EACH MEMBER HAS TWO GRENADES OF THEIR CHOICE. CAN PICK TWO OF THE SAME, TWO DIFFERENT, ETC.] - M67 Fragmentation Grenade - Smoke grenade [Various colours, can be used to signal.] - Red Flare [Not a grenade, used to signal/blind enemy NVG users.] - IR Grenade [Emits a flash of light every second, only visible in NVGs.
