Hi ROBLOX, I would like to see this added as a way to avoid "lag bombs". There are currently scripts that exist that can be inserted or given a target username, etc. etc, that give an error to the client (or something?), casuing either a manual shutdown with Task Manager, that ugly red X button provided by Microsoft, and other methods.
As an attempt to prevent this, I have recently upgraded by system to to absolute best one can buy, with 32GB of RAM (Still trying to figure out how to do 64 with Windows), and brand new 6 GB VRAM video cards, all that.
But, the error still happens.
Since essentially no one else has a better PC than I do, it's fair to assume that something is wrong with how the game is actually processed....
And so, one day I pop open Task Manager, and see the 2 words that.. um.. yeah. '32-bit'
So, we can only use a teeny tiny portion of RAM to load up a game... I'm probably wrong about this, but I would like to know a way to resist these scripts, as I can pretty much run any other game, maximum settings, graphics mods, no problem. But, with certain ROBLOX games, I can't. I don't like seeing the word "Can't" and "Game" in the same sentence. So, yeah.
Plus, it would most certainly help with creating even more complex games, using millions of parts, (yes for .obj in Roblox using wedges!)
And uh, yeah. Please let us use more RAM for ROBLOX.
The possibilities of more usage would be... well, amazing. |

You have a powerful computer, yet you are an idiot when it comes to how they run.
while true do end
will consume all computing power available to the program because whenever any becomes available it will spend it on running that.
People put those scripts in your client and every bit of computing power given to ROBLOX is instantly wasted, no matter how much you're giving.

Well, certainly at some point, that script becomes runnable.
Someone call Microsoft and tell them to like, let us use 128 GB RAM?
Microsoft is supposed to be better than Apple... |

Try it. Go ahead and set ROBLOX's priority to realtime, get crashed, your computer still can't take it.
The script will never stop running and it will never wait, making it consume infinite processing power. No matter how much you have you'll never have infinity

...
I'm going to throw this piece of garbage outside, and send it to the dumpster. ... Waste of thousands of dollars and hours of time. Can't even load a 45,000 part place. My god. |

| I think they should atleast allow us to set how much ram/memory we can use while playing roblox. |

32GB and 6GB video card is not top of the range by any point of view.
128GB is possible in Windows with certain processors and motherboards, and up to 128GB is doable at this current time.
6GB video card must either be the GTX Titan (1st gen, non X model) or GTX Titan Black (Also non X model, came out after the Titan did), or the GTX 980 Ti. There are cards with higher memory amounts, and even incredibly fast memory (Fury series cards). But the 980Ti/Titan X are winners in terms of performance.
Also, it could be a CPU bottleneck. ROBLOX isn't very CPU intensive, but still a possibility, as the 980 Ti is able to bottleneck processors as capable as the Core i5 4690K (came out 1-2 years ago, 4 cores, no HT) |

| Also, games don't take up much system memory (RAM, CPU memory, whatever) and 32GB is plenty to run a game, stream Ultra HD videos, and have a buttload of tabs open in Chrome, and basically to do whatever you want. My config (16GB DDR4, 5820K, 390X) loads up ROBLOX in a heartbeat. 5820k has six cores and I think 12 threads. 2400MHz RAM, and the 390X runs at about 1090MHz. There is no logical reason for your computer to be taking so long. It could be due to a slow Internet connection. If on WiFi or connected via Ethernet to a switch that's slower than 100Mb/s than that would be a very likely reason. Being this way because ROBLOX is run mainly via network, and not so much by the "horsepower" of your fancy computer. |
