"Justin Yokes." You whisper to yourself, your name being the only assurance that you still *are*. "I am Justin Yokes, 38 years old, and as brave a man as you could ask for." You continue whispering to yourself. You still aren't sure if you believe it or not. "I am part of Alpha team, I have served in the SAS, in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other operations. I was trained all over the globe, and I can handle this. I know I can." Footsteps, your own, is the only sound ringing through the hallway.
You check your weapons once more. Your M16A4 is fully loaded, still in your hands, M203 attached. Your USO .45 is in its holster, secure. Your frag grenades and C4 is on your belt, secure. You are a Captain, leader of Alpha team, but you got separated from the rest when you went off to investigate some screams. You never saw anything or anyone, but the private who came with you screamed and was snatched away by... something. You never got a good look at it. But now you wander the halls of Willard Resource Plant.
Personal objectives: 1: Find as many other members of Alpha as you can. 2: Find out what has been happening here. 3: Survive. |

| I raise my M16A4/M203 and continue walking down the hall, confident but scared. Who couldn't be scared? It was a dangerous operation, but I knew I could do it. Reassuring myself once again, I keep going down the hall. |

You walk down the hall, slowly but surely, occasionally looking behind you to make sure nothing is stalking you. In any other mission, you would call yourself paranoid, but not here. Anywhere but here. Eventually you reach a large... water tank? That's what it looks like. Murky, yellow-green water, almost definitely not safe to touch with bare skin, is in small puddles all over the floor. A giant cylindrical water tank dominates the center of the room, filled with the same murky yellow-green water.
You think you hear a sound, and then you confirm that you heard it with another, a loud bang from the tank. Like someone was pounding on it... |

| I shout out. "Who's there?!" and aim at the water tank, and I am careful not to touch the yellow water, deciding it is contaminated. |

| Nobody replies. The pounding continues. You think you can see... something, you aren't sure what, drifting in the water, a little bit away from the side you can see. Slowly spinning, it looks human, but you can't make out any features through the murk. |

You shoot, your bullets puncturing the tank and embedding themselves in the thing. You hear an inhuman howl, of pain and rage, presumably from the thing. Not good. And then more... things, cluster around the hole, poking fingers through. Yes, fingers. One of them makes the hole wider.
Soon enough, all of the things are tearing at the hole that you opened, the yellow-green water flowing over and around them. And the hole gets wider still. Then one of them gets out. It drops onto the floor with an audible "THUD", and it's up, slowly but surely moving across the floor, presumably getting a feel for the ground. |

| Run back the way I came, but not before setting a C4 and blowing the place straight to hell. |

You arm and drop the C4, then run back into the hall you came from, narrowly avoiding the creature, who leapt at you as you went into the hall. You can hear the "Thud" if it slamming into the wall, and then you slam the button on your detonator. There's a huge explosion, and a piece of shrapnel, part of the floor and the size of one of your legs, flies past.
Looking back, there's a huge hole in the ground. The floor was very thin and weak, not able to resist the explosion at all. The tank is shattered, and there's no sign of the creatures, just a huge pit in the floor. You presume they fell down into the pit. |

You run, shouting for someone, anyone to come help you. Nobody comes. Fortunately, nobody includes the things, whatever they are. Eventually you reach a large room. There's blood... fresh blood, scattered all over it. It appears to be all that remains of the main group.
You think you could make your way back to the exit from here. |

| You advance down the hall. It's creepy, and you can see the telltale signs of previous struggles. It's horrific, actually. Not so much the creepy darkness, but memories and imaginings of what has happened here. The rest of the team stuck together, some continuing to do their duty, others staying with the group with "safety in numbers" on their minds. |

I must make my way to the exit, I tell myself. My M16A4/M203 is in my hands and my USP .45 is in its holster as I walk down the hallway, ready to blow the exit once I leave so these monsters must find another way to escape. But wait... I must find my team. I turn around and start looking for my men and women, dead or alive, if there is a body left. |

| There are no bodies. Strange. All this blood, but no other signs of life or death. There are several openings away from the main hall, and you find an elevator about midway between where you came back to the main hall and the exit. |

| The elevator doors open... and one of the people from Alpha has turned to look out at you. There's a thing in the emergency top exit, trying to struggle down into the elevator. |

| The soldier... what was his name? Allan Steward, the Corporal. That's it. He opens fire on the thing, and it howls, an ear-shattering scream. The pain is immense. But you pull him out, and the elevator doors close. |
