I've already ranted about how irritating it is that we basically have to hack to get Mouse.Icon without constantly selecting a tool, but it appears they've patched most of the ways of doing it, any-one willing to share? As always, help is greatly appreciated!

| Well, putting a tool into the player (with a handle) and changing the icon that way doesn't seem to work, atleast not permanently. |

| You could fake the cursor with a GUI, and then update it with mouse.Move in a local script. |

| Wouldn't the mouse stay on top of the GUI? |

| Exactly, thing is, it would be nice just to remove the cursor althogether (transparent image was how I used to do it) and use GUIs, which is how i used to do it, just because it was easy, but now I can't change the Mouse Icon permanently at all, not without a tool or hopperbin constantly equipped. |

Orrrr, you could wait until they add support for the PlayerMouse's icon property. The update, to the PlayerMouse, is currently on GT2.

| Oooh, I did read a post on Anaminus' blog about the possibilities of how such a system would work, and that he said it would be coming soon, and then I realised that was last year and lost hope, but this looks promising and was pretty much what I was banking for! |

I PM'ed Rudimentality asking how he changed the mouse icon. Just change the icon with the tool, then remove the backpack core gui. Bad thing is that you need a custom backpack system of some sort if you want more than one tool. This should work, assuming Strobe still works. |

Don't think so, I deliberately checked top quality FPS (including strobe) that don't use tools, to see if any can still remove the mouse, the only I could find was Daxter33's Paintball 2.
Unfortunately, Daxter33 hasn't replied to my PM asking how this is possible. |

if you want to remove the mouse you can use mouseiconenabled
game:GetService("UserInputService").MouseIconEnabled = false |
