| Although the fan service was heavy (not a bad thing at all), it did have an engaging story. After finishing one episode, it made me WANT to watch the next to find out what happens. |

@Laxus
NO. I REFUSE to accept ANY argument that says the fanservice in High School of the Dead is tolerable.
I admit that I have a bone to pick with fanservice, but I don't think it can sink a show on its own. However, in High School of the Dead, it is omnipresent, ruining scenes that are supposed to be dramatic. I don't care how much you tolerate fanservice, anyone should be disgusted by the sheer amount of it in High School of the Dead.

@Sky
Fanservice is not as satisfying as a nice, rousing story.

it doesn't really matter if there's a lot of fanservice depending on how it's executed and the style of the series. something can still be well made and enjoyable for other aspects of it, even if it has a lot of fanservice (not saying HotD is the case though)
this applies to games too, the most fitting example i can think of being skullgirls |

Sarah Palin Jokes.
This is a poor thread. A better one would be "Name ONE good thing about School Days." |
