I'M LOLLING AT THE "AMERICA HASA WAY BETTER ARMY"
I want to remind you all that America has a military of about 2.3 million, most just passing the US Armed Forces Basic Military Training. Canada has a military of 119,000 with the Basic Military Qualification being a vastly superior training program, denying more Canadians yearly than the US army has a military. Each Canadian soldier in the BMQ gets the equivalent training to about a Navy SEAL, which is pretty good for all three branches (excluding the Canadian Rangers, so subtract 5000 from the 119,000). The Canadian Army standard issue C7A2/3 is an upgraded M16 which fires the same NATO rounds as the M4A1, except with a bit slower fire rate, but the special forces C8A3 is nothing to mess around with and would wipe the floor with the so called tactical M4A1. CADPAT, made late 20th century, is to this day the best camouflage and was made right in Ottawa by the Department of National Defence which also made the United States Marine Corps MARPAT/ US Navy MARPAT, and the current CUEPAT being developed will usher in a new era of camouflage supremacy.
Equipment wise, the US Army equipment's only benefit could be it's numbers. Canada has fully upgraded the Stryker APC, and does not use Humvee's due to it's weak armament of a piddly MG. The Canadian Army standard troop transport is the well acclaimed LAV III, which is essentially one of the best APC's out there at this moment in time. But I'll give the US tanks, the M1 Abrahms would dominate the Leopard, but is way harder to mass produce because it's just such a heavy tank.
Navy wise, in the next few years, the Canadian Navy will double it's fleet size with modernized equipment equal to the US's.
Canada is, and has been since the second world war, one of the best air force wielding nations. Canadian pilots use the CF-18, which is based off the Douglas F-18 Hornet, and will be acquiring the VTOL F-35 Lightning II.
Would Canada win an invasion against the US? No. Would the US win an invasion against Canada? No. |
