There is a TL;DR version at the bottom, but I highly suggest you read this to get the gist of things.
Hello, have you ever thought about why people use Google Docs more than Microsoft Word? Well, one of the biggest reasons why is because Google Docs automatically saves your work after you make a change. This is one feat, that Microsoft Word has gotten a beaten at.
My idea is to input a Automatic Saving system into the ROBLOX studio program, sometimes when I play with a plugin, or insert a whole bunch of Free Models at one time for fun, my ROBLOX Studio shuts down.
Now lets say you were like doing some awesome building, you are making great progress, you go to your plugin thing, you make a edit; BAM! ROBLOX Studio freezes. You wait a while, still no progress. The only thing you have left to do is... exit out of the program. When you go back to edit it, all your progress is gone.
That is what happened to me, and I am pretty sure it happened to many others. Now you might say,"Oh just save every minute." Oh yes, like us builders want to get out of our zone, and do that every minute. It is just a distraction. Now of course, this can be optional in the Settings part of the studio. The option would be: Save automatically every 1/5/10/20/30/Custom/ Minutes.
Thank you for reading, also I would be delighted if anyone had questions.
TL;DR Version: Add a automatic save system into ROBLOX Studio just in case it shuts down.

Already implemented. Auto-save saves to a separate file, which you can recover if the studio crashes, then save over the original.

That's because auto-save saves to a DIFFERENT location in case the studio crashes. Next time you open studio, it asks if you want to recover the saves, then you can save over your original copy.

Actually, still. No matter what the place should Auto-save without doing all that looking into files.

I only had to read the subject of this to know this was a bad idea because you know how many time I screw up in studio mode and I can't revert it without leaving and not saving the game?! Atleast once every build. Please get out.

They already implemented it. If it doesn't ask you about recovering it, then go through the files in the ROBLOX folder. The auto saves files should be there. If you don't want to do that. Too bad. Computers make mistakes, just like humans. Deal with it.

@Glac, oh no I was talking about your 47 post. You should be a little more clever than a 9 year old you newbag. :)
@Dond, the point of the Automatic Save system is where we won't have any problems like that.
You guys need better debatable arguments if you want me to get serious. |

Hue? They already have this feature. Maybe you just haven't used Studio in a while/don't know where to look. Ask someone who builds in Studio a lot where you can find autosaves.

Or maybe you don't have autosaves enabled? I'm on Mobile and haven't used Studio in a while but I believe it's: ROBLOX Studio > Tools > Settings > Studio > Auto-Save and then enable it.
