No I didn't try to get rid of it by reforatting it. I did before I started playing roblox. I scanned the computer for a virus when I saw there was a problem, nothing was there.

Quite possibly. Not sure if its always the case for computers, but they can restart for updates. Now, if this happened every time you played roblox, then that is odd, and I am not sure what is wrong.

Computer specialists omg -.-
Sometimes, your computer can be filled with dust, performance of some parts can get low.
Use vacuum cleaner (Carefully!) or use Compressed Oxygen, there's tutorials about it on internet.
Did you replaced your computer parts with newer? Your AC propably couldn't hold new parts.

Justin please don't bump old posts. These people probably don't have this problem anymore, or in semi-rare cases, don't even play ROBLOX anymore.

If you are still looking at this post, listen. After your computer resets, if something comes up like a message windows recovered from a error, that means your computer had just blue screened. Just to let you know you may not see the blue screen but it did.

You can check all you want. Viruses can hide themselves.

If it's not that, it's a System Disc Error. You should get a Blue Screen between now and tommarrow.

A System Disc Error (SDE) or SequenceCall Error (SCE) may be valid and can cause blue screens. I've had issues like this before where it kept restarting.

On one of the restarts I got a BlueScreen that was scanning for Data Errors in the HardDisc.

All you can do is wait for the bluescreen and it goes away on its own.

If not, check VERY thorouly for a hidden virus or take it to a repair shop.

This is an old post from 2009, but I still have a solution.

When a computer restarts itself, it can be for the following reasons;
Overloaded Processor,
Overloaded RAM,
System Disc Error,
Overheating,
Virus.

Viruses are usually not the cause on video games, generally because if you manage to get other programs open, it won't target the specific program unless it's been told to. If you have installed a "Hack ROBLOX accounts" program, you may have caught a virus from it which will shutdown your computer once RobloxApp.exe has been opened.

Mostly the cause is an overload on hardware, e.g. processor or RAM.
RobloxApp.exe requires around 117,000 KB of RAM, if you have lower than 512mb the chances of an overload are extremely high, I would recommend at least 1GB.
RobloxApp.exe requires a large amount of processor power, on a typical Intel 2.66ghz pentium 4 ROBLOX requires almost all of the processor, if this gets overloaded, the processor will tell the computer to shutdown because it has been overloaded with too much information that it can handle.

Overheating is common with ROBLOX, mostly on laptops because desktops have bigger fans and better cooling facilities. When ROBLOX runs, it requires RAM and processor speeds combined, as shown above, when it requires lots, it will start to gradually get hotter until it can't take it anymore.

System disc error
System disc errors are corrupt files found on the systems disc, if something that RobloxApp.exe needs to use it corrupt, it may restart the computer and may show a "blue screen". Blue screens are error displays, they show the technical information on why your PC has crashed.

If your computer restarts when playing a game, that means that your computer has crashed. By default, Windows XP restarts when it crashes.
