@Tato That's not bold at all lol. Iran WILL make all the forthcoming World Cups unless another Iran-Iraq happens. They have made the last 3 out of 5 World Cups (2002 was playoff loss to Ireland and 2010 was after the Iranian election) As long as the AFC has 4 automatic spots (and 1 playoff against OFC) they will make the World Cup forever lol |

| MAYBE Saudi Arabia could sneak one year and make the World Cup, but if Uzbekistan, Lebanon, and Palestine don't keep pressing the gas and improve to what it takes, Iran will near-dominate the AFC for a century and more to come. |

i can't stop dying at this.
a. saudi arabia can easily improve enough to make it into the next world cup. b. lebanon and palestine aren't ever going to improve unless they get a belgium level golden generation. c. uzbekistan are already good enough and have what it takes. server djeporav craps on all iranian players and should be playing in a massively better league. d. japan, south korea, china, australia, saudi arabia, qatar, uzbekistan and possibly india all disagree with your statement on iran dominating the afc.

Let's break your stupid idiotic argument down step-by-step
"a. saudi arabia can easily improve enough to make it into the next world cup." They didn't even make it to the Fourth Round of AFC World Cup qualifying this campaign. Iran has made the Fourth Round (or at least latest round) of qualifying since the 1994 FIFA World Cup qualifying. Not to mention Saudi Arabia doesn't have a single foreign-based player and even the Iran Pro League is better than the Saudi Premier League.
"b. lebanon and palestine aren't ever going to improve unless they get a belgium level golden generation." Palestine, a nation currently (and has been) war-torn, has managed to make the AFC Asian Cup. Lebanon at least made the Fourth Round of AFC qualifying, and have impressed as a somewhat-okay side. Not to mention both sides have extremely good young players and some foreign-based players.
"c. uzbekistan are already good enough and have what it takes. server djeporav craps on all iranian players and should be playing in a massively better league." Yes he craps on all Iranian players when he hasn't even scored on Iran nor played for a club team out of Asia. Several Iranian players have played for Bayern Munich in the past and three young Iranian players have been linked to transfers (albeit they might be loaned for 2-3 years to other European clubs) with top BPL clubs. Not to mention Uzbekistan haven't made a World Cup while Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia - they all have and they are all new nations as well. And they compete in a harder confederation than the AFC. Alright then
"d. japan, south korea, china, australia, saudi arabia, qatar, uzbekistan and possibly india all disagree with your statement on iran dominating the afc." I can accept Japan, South Korea, and Australia as making good cases. I can accept Saudi Arabia, China, and Uzbekistan as somewhat alright cases, but to mention Qatar and India proves your level of stupidity and that you shouldn't be talking anymore. Shut your mouth. Qatar's only World Cup they'll be making is the one they bribed to host in 2022, and India probably won't even be close to making a World Cup until 2038 or later. Hell, Iraq's team is miles better than India's and I'm dead serious.

You know that's a bit of a tougher case there because the OFC Nations Cup does get you a spot in the FIFA Confederations Cup and it is a part of World Cup qualifying (oddly enough)
Hooooooowever, as you see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification_%E2%80%93_OFC_Third_Round New Zealand had no problem at least getting to their playoff. Now their loss to Mexico was coming, but hey, if the OFC had an automatic spot to Brazil or any other World Cup host, they'd cruise right to it.

Also Harlequins as long as Cricket is relevant in India, India will always suck at football/soccer |

Saudi Arabia are/was an Asian powerhouse and made the World Cup in 2002. If they can revamp their football and produce some quality players (which they've done before) and they'll make the World Cup again. Also, their clubs have been historically better than Iranian clubs when it comes to AFC CL football, so you were saying?
"b. lebanon and palestine aren't ever going to improve unless they get a belgium level golden generation." "Palestine, a nation currently (and has been) war-torn, has managed to make the AFC Asian Cup. Lebanon at least made the Fourth Round of AFC qualifying, and have impressed as a somewhat-okay side. No one and I mean no one thinks Palestine is a good side. Lebanon? Maybe. And tell me one young player from either side that plays in Europe.
"c. uzbekistan are already good enough and have what it takes. server djeporav craps on all iranian players and should be playing in a massively better league." "Yes he craps on all Iranian players when he hasn't even scored on Iran nor played for a club team out of Asia. Well I actually watch AFC football because Australia is an AFC nation. Most people in the AFC agree that Server Djeporav is better than most players in the AFC and that's why he's been voted Asian Player of the Year 2x and was offered a move to Chelsea. Pele also never played in Europe but he's widely considered the best ever player. The league argument isn't an exactly good one. And Uzbekistan almost made it to this World Cup. If they get consistent enough, they will make Russia. But comparing them to Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia is just downright stupid.
"d. japan, south korea, china, australia, saudi arabia, qatar, uzbekistan and possibly india all disagree with your statement on iran dominating the afc." How does mentioning Qatar and India "prove my stupidity"? Neither are good at all for the time being but they are improving and football is garnering more and more popularity in those two countries. Qatar are spending tenfold on developing new talent for the national team while India's quality is slowly getting better. And I'm so sick and tired of people saying Qatar bribed officials for the WC. Well guess what; they've got it, and that'll more than likely not change.

Also, their clubs have been historically better than Iranian clubs when it comes to AFC CL football, so you were saying?" The team that got blownout by Germany 8-0 when Iran has proven they can take on tougher teams, (lose), but still fighting for it. Iran faced Germany in 1998 World Cup and lost only 2-0. Iran never EMBARASSES (they just don't meet up to expectations, like 2006) on the world stage unlike Saudi Arabia. Also Esteghlal, Sepahan, Zob Ahan, Persepolis, and Pas Tehran have done good in the past in the AFC CL. Iran Pro League as a whole is better than the Saudi Premier League altogether.
"No one and I mean no one thinks Palestine is a good side. Lebanon? Maybe. And tell me one young player from either side that plays in Europe." Any younger player that plays in Europe? Alright Lebanon have Joan Oumari for FSV Frankfurt, Adnan Haidar, Feiz Shamsin, Nader Mater, and not to mention Soony Saad who plays in MLS. Palestine's rosters are so hard to look up because it's not kept up to date. Hopefully the AFC Asian Cup will straighten that one out.

They lost to Jordan in the final round of AFC qualifying. What does that tell you? 5) Hmmmm it's not really stupid. Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia have been through a war and two breakups and they make the World Cup in an extremely harder football confederation. Uzbekistan has no excuse.

Not to mention field hockey and that American football is actually somewhat trending there now too. Qatar is improving and both countries are garnering more popularity but neither have what it takes to compete at top AFC level. Also Qatar probably did bribe FIFA to have that World Cup and it's so sad to see your ignorance on it, poor Nepali migrant workers that have died under such harsh conditions. |
