i'm building a new pc and i'm deciding on whether or not to go with amd or intel. there is a lot of controversy on the internet about it but they seem to be equal in regards to criticism.
so which of the two should i get for gaming? |

AMD.
Cause the 8320 is one of the fastest non-OCed (from what I remember) processors.

| Intel. Alot of games are poorly optimized with AMD. For instance, Watch Dogs, PAYDAY. |

AMD gives you good performance and a lower price Intel gives you a better performance but at a higher price Really depends on your budget, if you play games that are dependent on CPU then I recommend Intel. |

| Is this a pure gaming rig or will it have video editing and rendering involved? |

For mid end budget gaming, AMD all the way. But if you have the cash for the quality. Intel forever and always, |

| Depends on your budget. If you are on a low budget say $600 then a processor like the AMD FX-6300 will give you a lot of bang for your buck. If you are building something around then $1500 then there are a lot of great intel processors that will fit into your budget. Just don't get an i3. Dual core is getting outdated even if it is hyperthreaded. |

| What's your budget? People here can help you decide on all the parts. I do recommend an ASUS or Gigabyte motherboard. I just got a Gigabyte GA-78lmt-USB3. It's a nice ultra durable motherboard for FX processors for around $50. Doesn't have crossfire though. Only one PCI-Ex16. I don't see two graphics cards as necessary though. Not for my needs and desires. So far it runs great with the Radeon 7850 and FX-6300. |

I got my GA-78LMT-S2P for $30. It only has 2GB RAM slots, which is the only limitation.

depends on what is your budget for the cpu and the use that you're going to give it, one can be better than the other depending on the price that you're looking at and the use.
On the other hand, I'm left-handed. |
