I don't have an Intresting life. But I was once walking alone and night. And I heard a loud female scream It sounded like a teenager. Then I saw a figure across the block running. And I just ran home. :( |

| During a time when the house I grew up in was still blue and the tree outside my bedroom had all of its branches, my parents were having an argument in the kitchen. I don't remember what they were arguing over, probably something trivial. Me and my brother were watching television, when I noticed that their voices began to elevate, particularly the angry, masculine voice of my dad. My mother began to leak tears of frustration and their voices continued to raise. At this point, I turned the television off and went outside. I dislike hearing anyone argue, especially my parents. It was a beautiful day outside. The sky was blue and the sun was shining. The silver maple tree that we planted near the lilac bushes was nothing more than a little sprout. The ferns were already large and unfurled and the robins and swallows were well on their way to eating up all of the seed in the bird feeder. It's hard to believe that such a terrible thing happened on such a beautiful day. My parents, audible from outside, began to make their way onto the porch. My mother was still screaming and crying and my father's face was red. He was still screaming at her, testosterone raging through his being. I tried to ignore them. Ignoring something so blatant proved to be a Herculean task, but I managed to keep my eyes away from them. After a few moments of arguing on the back porch, it was clear that my dad was in a somewhat unstable condition. He was a ticking time bomb, moments from bursting. All he needed was something to destroy. He needed a place to launch all of his anger. He managed to find a place to channel his energy. His energy went straight from his reddened, clenched fist into the cold, reflective glass pane of the back porch door. The glass pane was no match for my father's anger and frustration. I remember finally lifting my eyes when I heard the crash. Glass was everywhere. My dad's fist was red with bad blood. All of the heat and anger that had existed between my parents a moment before was gone. All that was left was silence. My mother bandaged my father's fist and she swept up all of the broken glass. The pane was completely shattered. There was no glass left in the frame of the porch door. Whatever they were arguing about was dropped and forgotten. The silver maple tree has grown to be far taller than I stand. The birds still peck and nibble at the seed in the bird feeder. The sun still shines in the radiant blue sky. The pane was never replaced though. To this day, the porch door has an empty frame. |

I just spent like 15 minutes writing this. You're all very fickle. |

| Are you a literary writer for your school paper or something? That story was very well-written. |

@Hannie No.. I'm not. I don't like it very much to be honest. It feels very short and vague to me. I wish I remembered the actual event better. It was a long time ago though. |
