Looks odd, in my opinion.
It only really works for more... "classical", blocky groups.
Not all these technological, newer ones. |

@diglet8;
I don't know, I've just seen a few newer groups use universal studs on every surface of every brick ever in their forts or what-not.
@Xenojay;
Everything WIJ makes, everyone copies. This may be a cause. |

You have to have the style for it. You can't have really really andvanced architecture, you have to have simple, but good looking architecture to pull it off. You really can't use many angled blocks in terrain, either.
WIJ pulls it off. |

Lol, using different surfaces to create detail to builds has been a thing people do for sooo much longer than WIJ has been around.
WIJ just use simplistic old designs and is very effective at it. Which is why they manage to pull it off. A good colour scheme helps as well.

"wij fell in love with it and its simple classy look"
No actually it was Owen who couldn't accept anything else than simplistic designs. If you haven't noticed Owen has had less and less to do with the tech development for WIJ over the years. Resulting in more and more detailed weaponry put out by SS.
