Name: Vincent Xaviek
Age: 24
Country: Britain
Backstory: Vincent was the son of a British privateer. While for the majority of his young life, he hadn't been in much contact with his father except on times of leave, he was quite close with his mother and brother. The family as a whole was very passionate about the sea, owning not only a brig that Vincent's father used to privateer, but also a masthead sloop that the family used recreationaly. Naturally, Vincent and his brother, Matthias, were excellent sailors.
Thinks changed however when he turned 16. His father implored that his brother (now 18) and him come work on his brig. With such a demand, he and his brother went straight to the brig to participate in many campaigns over the next 8 years, where Vincent's father dies in battle, leaving the two brothers alone.
Traits:
Passion - Vincent is very passionate about his work, as sailing is his life. This allows him to ignore external events and gives him a large amount of courage. This courage also inspires his fellow cremates.
Tunnel Vision - His passion forces him to miss other things in life. Relations with people who are not his crew are severely hindered, and learning of a different culture than naval culture is difficult for him.

that other person posted here and I thought this was the sign up thread
Sorry for the confusion.
Having built your colonization force, you are ready to sail. Now you just need to pick a destination, or should I pick one for you randomly? |

You set sail with your five Carracks into a long journey across the Atlantic ocean, heading for present day Maine.
After some time, one of your ships spots an ship in the distance. Should you investigate what it is, or just continue with the journey?
(All choices will have some consequences.) |

Your fleet turns to the ship and after a while, you see it carrying the French flag.
The ship has noticed you aswell, and is now trying to escape.
It appears to be a slow merchant ship, your carracks could probably capture it if they wanted to. |

| In that case, ready the cannons and make chase. |

But uh, the ship is trying to flee from you, but you could probably capture it as your carracks are faster. The merchant ship appears to be poorly armed.
Do you leave it or chase it? |

well dammit, shame on me for misreading
You chase down the French ship. After escape seemed impossible, it stopped and raised a white flag. |

| Carefully approach it, as it may be a trap, but attempt to capture it. |

The ship had only a few light cannons, it couldn't put much of ressistance.
There were a small group of soldiers, about ten. |
