There is literally no reason not to.
We as the people voted to have public schools to learn so the main goal of school is to learn.
But if clothes are distracting people and disallowing people to learn, then the school has right to regulate clothes. During school all your rights belong to the school so the school can do anything to your rights as long as it is helping the students learn. So if your right of speech is disallowing the goal of learn then your speech can be taken away since we as the people voted for public school.
Also clothes protect the right to life, by allowing teachers to spot intruders or gangs easier.

It can help prevent bullying but then again it is against freedom of expression. Falsidge, school is more about grades then learning (at least in America) |

@ChicagoPoliceOfficer
The Tenth amendment says "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." We voted in public schools so that we can learn. We basically agreed that in a school the government can do anything with our rights as long as we learn. Our freedom of expression does not matter because we were the ones that agreed on public school. |

@ChicagoPoliceOfficer Yes, schools are about grades, but grades are a reflection of learning.

Ooooo, now this is a really 50/50 sided agrument
I do like the uniform system because it stops bullying and crimes just like falsidge said earlier but yet again wouldn't it be better if you had a more secure environment than going on a daily routine of spotting the odd one out?
Schools also say alot that the uniform respects the school just by wearing it, yet again your respecting the school more by being yourself and that links into wearing what you want and choosing what you want to wear, linking into growth of independence as well |

| Um, I disagree. If you do that, what's next, no being outside after 8:00 PM! Or, no laughing, or free speech?!?!?! |

No.
If you make everyone wear the same clothes, there's going to be problems.
- Certain kids, who are overweight or underweight, will look bad in the uniforms and might not have a proper size for them - They won't be able to express themselves freely through their outfit. Freedom of speech applies to clothing. - Some of them would develop trends within the uniform such as undoing their collars and such. - This would solve nothing. |

| Uniforms are pointless, but there are certain clothes that should (and usually are) banned in schools. |

No kid ever stares at people clothings in school
What really wastes kids time is when principles go "umg if you died 1 tiny bit of your hair green you have to wash it out. And by that i mean be gone half the period using the sink instead of being in class learning" |

That's too bad for them. Nobody should be forced to change their clothing to address someone's own personal problem. |

Uniforms:
- Prevent clothing discrimination - Makes children concentrate more - Gives your school a smart impression
- I am a Glow Worm- |
