I can't argue with that, but swords require no skill. |

There is no top players at sword fight, you basicly tie up, and tie up.
When GUNS you can win in a battle, in 1v1, in everything.
So you should guys move on to the GUN age.

"swords require no skill"
Spoken by someone with no sword skills. Unless you've become a good gunfighter in secret, or you're an alt , I can probably say I'm a better gunfighter than yourself.
As a gunfighter and a swordfighter I can confirm that there is skill in both fighting types. The fact that you believe swords require no skill is most likely due to the ignorance you have on the topic. Skill is the ability to do something well, and I can assure you there is a pattern between experience with swords and the results said user gets in combat.
If you would like to debate the topic further, I suggest you propose a reason that swords "require no skill" since you seem to have no evidence to back up your claim. Furthermore if your gunfighting clan, I assume it must be, would like to raid a swords clan such as FWC I am sure you would not get very good results. |

"So you should guys move on to the GUN age."
The gun age started years ago. It's that clans wanted to keep that hope and spirit of swordfighting being fair still alive. But it was like trying to jump-start an already beat-up car. |

Oh, and, furthermore, due to teleport spawns and anti-tie scripts swordfighting has become increasingly focused on skill, due to the decrease in ties with the weapons. Even without said scripts a skill sword fighter is able to avoid a "force tie" however the scripts help with this even further. |

Just imagine two 'Good' swordfighters. In today's age of swordfighting, jumping does not en hinder any open points like it did back then. So jump has no stipulation but also helps much more for movement and unpredictability. So what happens when two swordsfighters have the idea to be safe. They both just jump around waiting for the other to strike for like a minute.
And even when that minute passes, only luck can determine the random jumping worked or not. And not only that, but they would still complain about either lag or delay like players have been for the past 5-6 years. |

The gun fighting era is more good then guns, trust me.
I know swordfighting is fun, by rekting noobs. But you always, and when I say always I meant always tie up no matter how good you are.

If you don't like new animations, used older animations.
Just imagine two "good" gunfighters. In today's age of gunfighting, both would camp until the other made a mistake. They both just stand still behind cover waiting for the other to strike for like a minute. And even when that minute passes, they would still complain about either lag or delay like players have been for the past 5-6 years.
Most of your points are not only relevant to swords.
Lots of good sfers don't do "random jumping". If you believe that luck would determine the winner of that fight, that is simply further proof of your ignorance on this topic. |

And this is proof that xerrorbear is also ignorant on the topic, to the point he even refused to read my points before responding with his irrelevant beliefs on sword fighting. |

Guns are also a randomfest also, but this is mostly concerning swordfighting. But the difference with guns is that there is a much more open field than swords, in which you need to get close.
And dude, I was very known in the swordfighting world, I have no idea if I still am today. And all of the duels I have seen today when it comes to swordfighters and tactics...
It is like a Kris Kross song... They all jump, jump, jump. |

Yes, I am a gunfighter. Yet for the past year I have been mainly/purely active in FWC, a swords clan. So I do care about the topic, and I enjoy both SF and gunfighting. |

I don't jump and I still manage to tie with those who jump so much.
It is a very pointless effort when it comes to dueling and such.
Gunfighting if you don't have a cover is also luck-based, but at least you don't tie. |
