Based on a true fact:
There was a pre-WWII movement called Technocracy, which held that scientists and engineers should take over the government and economy from politicians and economists. The leader of the movement was known as the Great Engineer.
My idea is that this actually worked and due to their work together, humanity is now very advanced.
So basically reply Yes or No, whether it should be steampunk futuristic or plain futuristic if Yes, and any additional notes if you feel the need to do so.

| Maybe include something like religious extremists who are malcontent with the governing body and seek to establish a theocracy instead. |

| I like that idea. It gives me something to start off the story. But knowing myself I'll have crazy churches and mosques which have religion extremists being thugs and killing members of the new government. And of course that's ridiculous so I'll need someone to collab with. |

There can be a way to portray religiously-motivated antagonists without offending the general religious community.
Because cults. Nobody likes "cults", not even most religious individuals. |

| Cults would be a majorly annoying idea. But I'll have to portray them in an evil way without insulting the Religious Community. I'm a Christian so I'm not too keen on making priests evil. |

Nah someone might still complain.
Fun fact of Vam
Chirstains used to be considered cultist for their made up Jesus character.
So someone might complain that even cults might get some real power. |

| Uh, please try not to insult my religion. I mean, I'm not like the other Christians on the Internet who are all "PRAISE DA LORD JESUS! HALLELUJAH!" But I still do care about it. |

| "for their made up Jesus character." That sounds an awful lot like you're insulting Christianity. |

That was the opinion in B.C.
That's the reason they were called a cult, people thought they just made up an guy. |
