Howdy,
I'm currently experiencing problems with updating my ROBLOX client and it's stumped me so here's a list of what I've done so far:
- Shutdown my machine (x2)
- Uninstalled by ROBLOX client
- Attempted a clean install (the installer won't launch correctly; it does open two or more instances of RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe, none of which am I able to end via task manager)
Any help would be very much appreciated! |

| I've deleted all former installer instances and then downloaded another, the installer downloads but does not open (it only shows up as the RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe [x2]). |

I have the same exact problem, the never ending "Roblox is updating..." screen. I'm using Internet Explorer however.
I tried uninstalling, restarting PC, and nothing seems to fix this. I'm running out of ideas. |

I've emailed ROBLOX (this is TacticalThinking) to see if they could help out.
On a side note I was going to reply on TT but I can no longer access the forums with that account (no idea why). |

Mods/Admins don't have all the answers for every problem. I work on the website team so I don't know how to solve your problem. I'm going to forwards some of these reports to the client team, but I don't promise any answers. |

I'm running the exact setup, Windows 8.0 and Chrome. I uninstalled Roblox, then tried to re-install it, but the download made it 2/3rds of the way and stopped. |

Chrome sometimes has issues with plugins and running things through its structure. More so it seems than other browsers.
Try a different browser to see if the problem persists. It may just be an issue with your Chrome version or settings if it does. |

| I had the same issue. It somehow fixed itself after 3 weeks or so. |

Just this morning the issue started again. I am now getting the same, never-ending, "Roblox is updating". I am considering quitting Roblox, as I am tired of these issues reoccurring. |

The problem was persistent across all browsers I've tried so far (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox).

@positive Same. I stopped playing for 2-3 weeks and it was fixed. However, as a professional business, it is Roblox's job to fix the errors of their system. They are doing a terrible job. Their customer service is terrible, as they continue to repeat the same things over and over no matter how many times you tell them that you already tried or that it didn't work.
They need to stop using robots named Jack to tell us to reinstall Roblox. |

They cannot fix when RobloxPlayerBeta is installed more then once. Heres how you can TRY to fix. 1. Open up Files. 2. Go to desktop. 3. Right click ROBLOX Player. 4. Click "View file location" 5. Look for "ROBLOXPlayerBeta" and "RobloxPlayerLauncher" if you have more then 1 it should say "RobloxPlayerBeta(2)" If you have it delete the ones with numbers |

@Zetiux
I do not have "ROBLOXPlayerBeta" only "RobloxPlayerLauncher". |

| From what I can tell "RobloxPlayerLauncher" is the install for the actual ROBLOX Client (which I uninstalled to try and do a clean install of the thing), it has failed to complete it's installation of the client. |

Try restarting your PC, then uninstall it completely (Not just delete the icon)

I have already done that multiple times.
(Control Panel -> Programs/Uninstall Program -> Roblox/whatever it calls itself) |
