1st Generation: All about Bulbasaur 2nd: Cyndaquil
The newest game: I definitely would have chosen that little fox thing.
I never do go for the water type starters for some reason.

bulbasaur is pretty freakin' ugly, especially after the evolutions |

if you choose a fire type starter, you're screwed because in all of the generations a decent fire pokemon is out there. |

I find water types fairly solid during mid-late game. The fact they can learn ice-type moves gives them the advantage with their disadvantage of grass types, though their is that whole STAB scenario if a Grass Vs Water type did happen. Plus, (don't quote me on this, I'm not a competitive Pokémon gamer/master)I think some grass types are faster than water, but water has more defence and higher SP.Attack stats. |
