Throughout my years of studying Japanese and the Japanese Culture I learned a funfact about.. 1 year or so ago about the word Otaku
Otaku in Japanese means; the honorific for the word home ( taku ) and is EXTREMELY negative in meaning; it's often refereed to someone who stays home all the time and has no life. They have nothing better to do then watch anime, play video games, and go on the internet. It also can be used to call someone a nerd, hacker, or programmer.
So to everyone who calls themselves diehard otakus..! just ..wow. weeaboos are even worse though -cough-

@Strickout " A negative term directed to anyone overly obsessed with Japanese culture to the point where they become annoying.Used frequently on the image boards of 4chan.
Most weaboos are uneducated about their obsession of choice and are often noobs who are overly zealous, trying to impress others with their otaku knowledge. Another trait of a weaboo is their desire to "be Japanese". "

i have a weeaboo friend at my school
he literally glorifies japan for no reason except he likes their "culture" which is an obvious cover-up to hide the fact he just watches a lot of anime |

"he literally glorifies japan for no reason except he likes their "culture"" really if he knew just a little bit more about japan's culture, he'd probably stop |
