When this comes out, I will hail Lord Gaben with my future Kaveri build.

| So is the SteamBoy like... a PSP where you can play full PC games on with a controller? |

I won't get it... I don't think it'll be very useful for me, and this is Valve's first console... I'll wait for the reviews. |

@Earn Yeah.
@L0L But it's a SteamBox fused into a handheld. Much like a NVIDIA Shield, except you don't need a GTX rig to play PC games.

| Any specs revealed yet? It better be a decent APU that can run Crysis at at least 40 FPS |

@l0l
Valve doesn't have a console. The SteamBox is made by third party but is licensed and this SteamBoy is being made by The SteamBoy Project Team. |

@Earn I got this from PCWorld: "quad-core CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 32GB memory card, and a 5-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, along with Wi-Fi and 3G support."
It'll be awesome for a handheld.

Oh, sorry. I haven't really put much research into it. |

| Damnit nothing about the GPU. But quad core, 16:9, and 4 gb sounds decent. I just hope they can have a USB 3.0 port so I can plug in a 2tb hard drive for games because that 32 gb wont do. |

I support it because it supports 3G. IF it comes with a front facing camera, I'm going to trade my Lumia 810 in exchange for it, cause I can Skype.

The whole thing seems very solid and I hope Valve will support it. Presumably, it will have SteamOS. So hopefully Valve will push even more developers toward it. But hey, SteamOS DOES already have Rust and all of Valve's games. Not a bad start.
Also like you said, the 3G will be AMAZING on something like that so you caan have multiplayer jams like on L4D2 in public. |

@half
Those are only planned specs I'm sure. The company, SteamBoy Project, is aware of the hardware requirements and I'm sure they will cope with this. |

| There's just something about the SteamBoy that has me excited. I feel kind of pumped that at one point I'll be able to carry around Half Life 2 in my pocket |

| Nvidia shield is useless outside the house because it all depends on streaming. This on the other hand will most likely allow an external hard drive and be able to download from your library in WiFi zones. That's my best guess. |
