Let's test your knowledge just for fun:
Given that the function f(x) = 2x^3 + ax^2 + bx + c has relative extreme values at x=-2 and x=1, and passes through point (2,11), find the values of a, b, and c [algebra 2] |

| And how old are you? I was doing calc in 10th grade. Personally though i like computer science better. I can do all the C based languages and java in my sleep(quite literally the other day i spent so much time working on my AVL tree for CS 133 that i dreamed of working on it in my sleep.). |

@rens
Looks simple, however i could not give the answer of the top of my head. I have not done that kind of math for four years. |

IDK if I would be classified as a prodigy.
I take honors and AP classes and get A's in them. At age 1 I could count to 20. At age 2 I was potty-trained in 1 day, knew the Pledge of Allegiance, and knew the alphabet. At age 3 I could read, write, and identify basic colors and shapes. At age 4 I could count to 100, go to children's websites to play games, and could do basic math. At age 6 I began learning piano and knew my multiplication tables. Age 7 I knew my division tables. Age 8 I quit piano when I figured out that I could play just about any song because every song was the same notes rearranged in a different pattern. Age 9 I knew all the parts of the computer. And that's just the beginning.
I know the first 20+ digits of pi (3.14159265359793238462). I tend to find hard things easy and easy things hard (I could use the Internet before I could tie my shoes). I was 4 when I could use the Internet and 7 when I could tie my shoes.
I think I'll take a test to see if I am.
Respect the science! |

@jake
I could write a non recursive algorithm to find a prime number with 100 million digits in five minutes. It may take 20 years but eventually it would find it. |
