WARNING: THE FOLLOWING READING IS LONG, DON'T GET SPOOKED
In recent times, we’ve come across a few problems that need to be address and solved to assure the best from our clan. In this thread, I want to address current problems and detailed solutions to those problems.
1:HRs & the system of it: Summer is here, yet, we are not seeing HRs not online, or just not participating in activities/hosting them. I’m sure there’s some real life business to attend to, but you can afford a pop in or two to see what’s going on, or opinions on current situations to contribute. Well, that may not even to hold the title of HR in UAF. But, a HR’s reasons of inactivity maybe valid, so I’m proposing a new way to handle inactive/long term unavailable HRs.
I think we should go for a middle ground where we don’t flat out demote or just leave them in the position. Instead, we should put them in a temporary state of demotion. Meaning that they will be demoted for a certain period, but to assure their reasoning is valid, the person has to prove their return and generally do what a HR should do(host trainings, participate, manage, etc.). If they fail to do so, they will be further questioned, and if deemed needed, demoted for good. Honestly, if you got lots of things to do in real life, there’s no need to lay more pressure on you, you should be relieved by the higher ranks for your own good. Oh and if they don’t have a valid excuse, it’s generally best to just demote them, if they want their rank back, they’ll have to re-earn it again.
2: The argument of the over-all theme of UAF: Some weeks ago, members of UAF petitioned for a Soviet-Theme UAF, claiming that it is better than a modern theme, and more unique and efficient for the clan. For me, I’m against the idea for reasons given here: 1.Support base is VERY small
2.The Soviet theme worked before with BB9, but it doesn’t mean it will work again because:
2a. BB9 was a very charismatic leader; he really knew how to use the theme to the fullest, whilst False is close, but no cigar in the matter.
2b. All the HRs were into the theme, ALL, not one or two, ALL, which is not the case here.
3. The idea of “the people’s clan” (meaning the people/LRs should make the majority of the decisions) which also links to the Soviet theme counter-acts, seeing as how still, support is very small against the majority.
But, the modern theme is generic and is over used, also can be bland for the majority. So, what do we do? My suggestion is to compromise and go for something we can all agree with: An URBAN theme. Urban is in our name, so why can’t we have this theme? It is unique, seeing as how current clans don’t have city warfare and urban apparel. I believe this, to be the best compromise in this situation, it’s in our name, and it’s something everyone can agree on. So please let us work together and go for the urban theme.
4.The Divisions: To be honest, I find that our current divisions (other than the HR division) are proving to be not useful, similar to like a navy division for a clan that’s leaded by a corporal. To simply say, that our divisions need to find a purpose and people who are willing to drive the purpose to make the division something worth mentioning/joining. TPG, I’m not hearing a lot from you guys, you’re supposed to be the role models, the strongest from our clan. Start showing some of that, get TPG training in, private raids, just keep yourselves busy.
We do also have a division that deals with member affairs and stuff similar to that. We don’t exactly NEED this division; HRs in general should be able to handle disputes between members. Also, in making of future divisions, think about how the division can manage a problem or the possibilities of it improving UAF.
This only Part I, Part II will be posted later, it will be more focused on PT related things and so. Alternate solutions and opinions are welcome |

Have some feedback
1: This seems incredibly inefficient. If they don't host/attend events, they should provide a reason BEFOREHAND, there's no need for a multistage process to deal with it.
2. If we want to have an Urban theme, we need a new City. If we don't get an "urban" base, we might as well be Soviet.
3.If you suggest we dump the democracy for bureaucracy, and take away the members' right to plebiscite, then I disagree entirely. UAF should always be "the people's clan", no matter what our theme is.
4. We need a members' affair's division so that the voice of the patrician is no greater than the voice of the citizen.

| lets see, it got a huge donations TPHG and you guys didnt do anything with it, and ever since BB9 left uaf became crap because the leadership was handed off to noobs with 0 leadership. |

The system I am proposing confirms that the HR is coming back from activity It puts them in a position where they can't keep coming up with excuses, and if they are not excuses, instead a series of events, then over all, its best to relief them of the pressure of managing a clan.
More about the city in Part II, and you're proposing that if the Urban theme doesn't get in, we automatically move to Soviet.
I didn't say "remove the people's clan idea" I'm declaring that it counter-acts with the Soviet theme, seeing as the Soviet theme has a small support base.
And, the members affair division isn't doing its job in the first place. So, it will either have to be repaired or dumped. |

So basically you have no idea what the internal status of UAF is, and just assume since the leaders had no leading experience when they all had long and experienced HRs of UAF before hand.

Agreed, UAF needs to move forward rather than relying on old ideas. Know what you do with old ideas and things? You learn from them to make something new that surpasses the last.
UAF is stuck in its current ideology and truthfully, at this point, BB9 might be doing more harm than he did good. |
